Happy Anniversary to my favorite person.

He's the best crew chief, passenger princess, supporter, and partner I could ask for.
It's amazing he puts up with me and my delusions, yet supports me entirely when I try to make them come true.

Day 6 and final at Mid Michigan Motorplex. What. A. Week.
Honestly a really successful, uneventful week and I couldn't be more happy about it. Even if we panic texted a few friends about some issues and catastrophized our entire situation (sorry Lance). Ended on my best 60' and a decent wheelie.

Endless appreciation to our tuner @lds_lsx for making adjustments every day and giving us the pep talks we needed.

And thanks to @kcoxphoto for surviving the week with me. He makes sure everything is good and ready, and all I really have to do is drive.

We have a lot of upgrades coming this winter that will make Sick Week next level. I'm obsessed with this car and it's capabilities. Time to go even faster 😎

Thanks @sickthemag for allowing us to be tourists in our own state. This event was amazing, vibes are unbeatable. Meeting so many new people, and quickly being able to call them friends is truly the best.

I hope to do this again next year, there's so much more Michigan to see and do.

Very proud of @kellyslaz this week resetting her PB 3x and picking up new things very quickly like the transbrake bump. She finished Michigan Miles off with another solid pass 6.52 at 103 with the best 60ft of the week at 1.34. We had been monitoring a coolant pressure issue the final two days. After the final pass the coolant overflow jug was pressurized and looked more like a football rather than the rectangle it was supposed to be. Between that and some fluid pressure relief on the underside of the hood we called it a week. Another helpful foxbody owner gave us a higher pressure radiator cap to help get us home. The car drove fine on the way home. Time to figure out the root cause and do some upgrades for the next one this fall/winter. #michiganmiles by @kellyslaz

Day 5 was supposed to be Lapeer and all my friends and family were supposed to come and watch this craziness. Unfortunately Mother Nature said nah.
It was a rainy morning, just enough to make racing not feasible. It luckily cleared up and we had a beautiful drive day back to Mid Michigan for the final day tomorrow!

Pulling up to our checkpoint happened to also be the start of the Crystal Lake Poker Run, and 40 golf carts were also assembling in this lot. We looked at each other like "what are y'all doing?".

Sad for the last day already, these are always the longest days but the shortest week.

What a day. Day 4? At Ubly Dragway. Spun a couple times getting started and was ready to just say ff it and turn in my ok pass, Ken convinced me to go for a third. Glad I did because it was another PB. Popped the wheels off the ground, and zoomed to a 6.44 at 106 with a 1.37 60'. This car is getting down and loving it.
It pushed some coolant to the overflow, but we've had no issues since so we are just hoping it was related to 3 hard passes in full baking sun and minimal cool down time between.
The drive today was to my hometown Lake Orion which felt incredibly weird to do during a drag and drive but was so cool to see neighbors checking things out and seeing exactly what we do!! Cooks has been my favorite place forever, and seeing race cars roll through takes it to a new level. Sick Town Hall was an absolute party, it was so cool seeing everyone from the area - even not affiliated with the event - come and hang out.
Feels nice to sleep in our own bed tonight too.
Fingers crossed for good weather at Lapeer tomorrow!!!

Drive day!!!
And Ken's birthday!!!!
Today was a stunning and nice drive down the east side of the state. Delicious food all day, and gorgeous views.
My favorite part about these little areas in the middle of nowhere is the old school honor system. Half of the little gas stations said pump first, pay inside after. Many stands with full food and snacks and a little bucket for cash that everyone follows. It's a cool vibe.

Love a chill day, but really excited to get back to racing tomorrow at Ubly 😎

Huge happy birthday to my favorite co-pilot, crew chief, passenger princess husband. He puts up with so much shit from me, helps make sure I'm safe and ready for the track, and basically keeps me sane. He even sacrificed his birthday so we could be on a drag and drive this week 😂
I am so grateful for him. Now if you see him - wish him a happy birthday 😤 by @kellyslaz
