TWO.
Evelyn is joyful, sassy, bright, bold and kind. She loves to make friends, play outside (my animal loving queen!), sing and dance, draw, read, and match her mama. 😌🩷
She is so much fun!
I pray she believes how much value there is to her life, and how much she has changed mine.

One night this week during our bedtime routine, I said “let’s brush our teeth, Queen” and Evelyn responded “Queens!” then cheers-ed my tooth brush.

And that gives you the smallest glimpse at the joy that comes with being Evelyn’s mommy.

I told Jared today that my heart must be growing softer as I get old because I can’t keep my tears in during church lately.
I said it jokingly but was convicted in the moment that that should certainly be true. As I experience more life, the Gospel is something I can’t fix my eyes on without being moved- and it’s something I can’t look away from.

He was dead, and now He is alive.
I was dead in my sin, yet He called me by my name and now I live with the power of Christ in me.
