8 years later, and this year feels different. Every year has carried its own weight. Some years felt unbearably heavy, while others came quietly with unexpected tears. Grief has never been the same from one year to the next.But this year feels lighter. Not because I’ve “arrived on the other side”, but because the Lord has been faithful with His peace, presence, and healing. He has allowed my grief to evolve as He’s so graciously has lead me in and out of these seasons. He has shown me that sorrow and joy can exist together, and that healing does not mean forgetting. It means learning how to live while still loving deeply. I like to say, there is an intimate gift in suffering, and that is the capacity to love even deeper. Son, your life is forever part of our story, but it is not the whole story. It is one sacred chapter in the beautiful, redemptive story God continues to write.Happy heavenly birthday Whitson. You are deeply loved, always remembered, and we know you are fully living now more so than ever. This sweet video of Kennedy is one of the many treasures we have during this time. While there’s a half percent of me that is hesitant to post such a tender private moment, I could not be more proud to share it! It’s a great representation of the fact that for us, it’s not a goodbye, it’s a “see you later!”. ❤️ by @kelsijcole

Merry Christmas from the Coles 🤍Our hearts are so full after such a meaningful Christmas at Trace Church. The Christmas services were incredible and we love that Kennedy had the opportunity to read part of the Christmas story in front of more than 5500 people. Watching her boldly proclaim the story of Jesus was a moment we will treasure.Above all the lights, music, and celebrations, we are reminded that the greatest gift of Christmas is Jesus Himself. God with us. Our hope. Our Savior. So proud of this girl. Kennedy lit up the stage as “Fluff”, in @ascentchristianschool ’s production of Honk Jr this semester. Five shows in two and a half days and these kids absolutely crushed it. Watching her step into something she now loves and shine with so much confidence has been the sweetest gift. Could not be prouder of her or this amazing cast. by @kelsijcole

Merry Christmas from our life group to yours. ☺️for a second year in a row, we had our Christmas dinner at Edelweiss German restaurant in Colorado Springs and thoroughly enjoyed it. It will be five years meeting together this coming January and couldn’t love and appreciate these people more! by @kelsijcole

Set a new record today as we helped pack 250,000 for @trace Burch’s mission partner @mohcaribbean. I’m just one shift today, our team packed 20 boxes full of meals for families in Haiti. This is the same organization that we went to the DR with this summer. Love seeing this part of the mission in action as we prayed that Jesus would not just nourish bodies, but souls in Haiti and in the DR. 🙏🏼 by @kelsijcole

Loved hosting our Wave of Light planning committee over for a special appreciation dinner. Fifteen years of unconditional love, gentle snuggles, and wagging tails. Today we said goodbye to Bijou, our faithful friend who’s been part of our family for so long. This weekend I had the pleasure of speaking at @trace.church’s womens retreat. It was all about being known, loved, and walking in that freedom. God blew our expectations through the roof and met women in the most hidden parts of their hearts, not just to be known but to HEAL. Chains were broken, stories were told (some for the first time), and encounters with Jesus were experienced. I’m so grateful for these women as we went there together, and found our living water! This was my only picture from this weekend as our goal was so be unplugged. I don’t mind it.🤗 IYKYK by @kelsijcole
