I had the honor of joining the launch of the País Raíz Biocultural Tourism Project, alongside the Minister of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge, @yannaia_kadamani . This initiative promotes the recognition of our memory, nature, flavors, music, and cultural heritage through two routes across the Archipelago.

I also took part in a conversation as part of the Creole Narratives on Space, Language, Identity, and Self-Governance project with @unijaveriana & @oneraizal , an initiative that seeks to recover and share the narratives of the Raizal people around the Creole language, identity, and our maritory, highlighting the role of younger generations in preserving our cultural heritage. ✨ by @ken_mcgowan

Caribbean Model Fashion Fest 2026 ✨
@cmffest brought together more than 100 models, designers, photographers, creatives, sound & lighting teams, make up artists, logistics staff, local artists, national and international guests, and an incredible organizing team that made every moment possible.

Thank you for helping us make fashion a language of culture, change, identity, and love across the Caribbean. This was more than fashion — it was art, community, expression, and connection🫶🏾

📜Every story we share strengthens our collective memory, our identity, and our voice as the Raizal People.

In this video, we introduce Creole Narratives, a project by One Raizal Corporation and the Pontifica Javeriana University that brings together the voices, experiences, and reflections of Raizal men and women from different perspectives and generations to explore what it means to be Raizal, the challenges we face, and the actions we take to protect our rights, our culture, and our territory.

Because our stories deserve to be told by those who live them✊🏾 by @ken_mcgowan

Junto a otros líderes raizales, conversamos con el expresidente @ernestosamperpizano sobre las realidades, desafíos y posibles caminos para nuestro Archipiélago y quienes lo habitamos.

A lo largo de mi trabajo con comunidades, instituciones y procesos sociales, he conocido de cerca las luchas, necesidades y sueños de personas de diferentes orígenes y condiciones. Por eso creo en la importancia de defender siempre la vida, la paz, los derechos humanos y la dignidad.

No escribo esto para convencer a nadie ni para debatir con quien piensa distinto. Mi respeto por la diferencia permanece intacto.

Pero sí quiero animar a quienes conocen este proyecto, creen en él y por alguna razón no pudieron participar en la primera vuelta, a que en esta segunda vuelta hagan escuchar su voz. La democracia necesita ciudadanos que participen, se informen y expresen sus convicciones con respeto.

What a powerful experience it was to come together as young Raizal creators, storytellers, and guardians of our heritage. 🌊✨

Over these days, we reflected on who we are, where we come from, and the stories that have shaped our islands. We spoke about our culture, our language, our maritorio, our memories, and our responsibility to future generations.

Through storytelling, photography, video, and collective reflection, we explored how our voices are tools for resistance, preservation, and transformation. Because protecting our Maritory also means telling our stories.

As Raizal youth, we are not only inheriting a legacy—we are actively shaping the future we want to leave behind. A future where our culture thrives, our sea is protected, our language is spoken proudly, and our communities continue to tell their own stories.

May we never forget that every story shared is an act of memory, identity, and love for our people. 💙
