Tonight our film will have its world premiere in New York City to A SOLD-OUT AUDIENCE AT THE LINCOLN CENTER. THE LINCOLN CENTER.

Out of over 6000 entries, our short film EMERGENCE was selected as a TOP 10 Finalist in Runway’s 3rd annual AI Film Fest.

I still can’t believe it.

To have an idea that sparked the interest of @__juliaharris__ , @lostless.visuals, @kenbot, @rakelle_backlotai enough to want to lend their artistic talents for a month. To then jointly create something that resonated with A-list judges enough to believe it was worth sharing on a global stage. To now this moment. In a few hours, I get to watch our work, our little bug movie, play on the big screen to a SOLD-OUT LINCOLN CENTER.

Official winners and prizes will be announced tonight, but right now, this moment is worth the world. I never thought I could get here as a filmmaker, and I for sure NEVER imagined it would be thanks to AI.

3 months ago, I asked @__juliaharris__ @porterx_porter @kenbot and @rakelle_backlotai if they wanted to make a film about a bug.

And now, out of thousands of submissions, it's a finalist in Runway's 3rd Annual AI Film Festival! aiff.runwayml.com ✨

I feel incredibly honored and starstruck that our little film about bugs, dirt, and the meaning of life moved these esteemed jurors (including some personal creative heroes). This project was more than an "AI Film." We combined our tools as filmmakers, storytellers, and technologists - shot photography, music production, LoRAs, and constant iteration - to evoke emotion and tell a story in a "tiny" perspective that is so rarely explored. Thank you, @runwayapp , for the competition and the tools that made our project possible! 💖 🪲 🪰 💗

I was honored to be selected as one of the 50 creators to compete in the first ever hashtag#CulverCup GenAi short film competition as part of hashtag#LATechWeek. We didn't make the final 8, but my friend @hmdehong Hong won 2nd Place! Had a lot of fun and learned a lot making this with @rakelle_backlotai and @kenbot. Thanks to @awsstartups Startups and @fbrcai for hosting this fabulous event and thanks to @luma_ai AI, @playbook3d 3D and @elevenlabsio for sponsoring.

The surprise fun of this was performing all the voices myself and then transforming them with @ElevenLabs.

Now that the event is over we are free to share on socials, and as a bonus this does have a "spooky season" theme to it so we have submitted it to the @Curious Refuge Horror Short film competition.
