Honored to be nominated for the Hoboken High Hall of Fame. 🏆

From breaking the single season strikeout record by 39 (180 K’s)…
To 3 perfect games.
4 no-hitters.
5 shutouts.
A 0.67 ERA.

North Jersey Pitcher of the Year.
1st Team All-State.
1st Team County.
Hudson County Pitcher of the Year.
NJ All-Star Selection.

It wasn’t easy getting there. Fields were taken. Sometimes we weren’t allowed to throw on them. Weight rooms weren’t always an option. A lot of those things could’ve been excuses to fall behind.

But I was determined to find a way. Parking lots. Open patches of grass. Anywhere I could get my work in, I did. I refused to let circumstances hold me back.

Those obstacles didn’t stop me they molded me.

Grateful? Yeah. But more than that, I’m blessed that I still get to stand on a mound and compete. Men’s league doesn’t water things down. You’re still facing dudes who played at higher levels and guys who love this game enough that cant step away from it. Every pitch still matters. Every inning is still a battle.

And the truth is, as adults, we don’t get the luxury of practicing every day like we did in high school or college. Most of the time, you’re competing against yourself, your schedule, your body, your mindset. I was showing up to the field once a week and still expected to perform like it’s midseason form. That’s a mindset.

But the way I’m wired? I don’t know how to give anything less than everything. If I’m in, I’m all in. Some people call that trying too hard I call it refusing to lose.

I hope all the kids I Train get to look at this and see that good things happen when you set your foundation at an early age.

The mound should never feel like a place of pressure. It should feel like home.

A place where you’re comfortable, confident, and completely in control. Where everything slows down, the noise disappears, and you can just be yourself.

No matter where the game takes you, that feeling should never change.

Find your comfort. Trust your ground.

I’m 5’8” throwing in the low 90s, Still.

So when you look at my mechanics, don’t just look at what they look like. Look at how much FORCE is being created with a smaller frame.

When you’re 6’5” or 6’7”, you’re naturally working with longer levers, a longer stride, and more mass.

When you’re 5’8”? You better learn how to use every damn pound you have.

How to leverage your body.
How to create energy from the ground.
How to transfer it efficiently.
How to sequence everything at the right time.

That’s why I think shorter, hard throwing pitchers are some of the best guys to study.

We don’t have size to fall back on. We have to figure out how to make the body produce more with less.

So if you’re an undersized pitcher trying to throw harder, stop comparing yourself only to the 6’7” guy throwing 100.

Study the 5’8” guys.

There’s probably a lot more you can learn from how he creates it.

Size helps.
