🎉What a year 2025 has been so far! Many big goals I’ve made for this year have been crushed within the first 3 months of 2025! Unreal! A huge thank you to all of you who support my efforts - the love never goes unnoticed and I appreciate you! 📚

This has inspired me to push myself even harder, take more risks and experience more L’s (lesson’s learned 😉)! So I’ve given myself the goal of selling 500 books by the end of June! So, I need your help! Now is the time to buy a book for the special little ones in your life AND everybody who makes a purchase during that time automatically goes into a draw to win a $200 cash prize!

Today I closed a deal that I’ve been working on for a few months.

I’ve intentionally taken a step back from the spotlight for sometime now because over the years I’ve slowly fallen more and more in love with the process of building businesses behind the scenes. My businesses, other people’s businesses and community organizations.

The places life takes you is so funny. Things I almost couldn’t have dreamed of have been silently happening behind the scenes and blowing my mind - even though I know how much I’ve worked.

The take away from it all, though?

An immense amount of gratitude. I am grateful that God has trusted me enough to perform the will.

First up is Keonté Beals!

Big thank you to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia for this incredible honour.

Last night I was awarded the Let’s Keep Talking Award.

I couldn’t be more grateful for every aspect of this journey. I’ve been using my art and business acumen for over a decade now to push the conversation about mental health to the forefront.

Back when I started, it wasn’t a common thing to talk about, especially not as a man, let alone a black man.

I took a lot of the blows of misunderstanding early on as these uncomfortable conversations started to unfold within our communities.

And you know what… I wouldn’t change a thing about the journey. God is good, and I always believed it would work itself out, and though it was hard, it would be worth the fight.

I couldn’t do any of the work I do without my support team. Both my family/friends support team or my KBeals Entertainment/artist team over the years. The sacrifices my people have made for me to stand on many stages…. All I can say is thank you. It paid off.

A beautiful bonus was I got the whole room to sing Happy Birthday to my grandmother who was in the audience! 😩 What a beautiful sound.

Empathy in leadership is often misunderstood.

It does not mean being soft, avoiding hard conversations, or letting everything slide.

Empathy is strength.

During my time in Toronto with the leadership team at Ivari Insurance, we explored how leaders can create deeper connection without losing clarity, standards, or accountability.

Because great leadership is not about choosing between being human and being firm.

It is learning how to be both.

You can listen deeply and still make decisions.
You can be compassionate and still have expectations.
You can care about people and still hold them accountable.

That is where real leadership growth happens.

Empathy gives leaders a better way into difficult conversations. It helps us ask better questions, listen beneath the surface, and create space for honesty, trust, and growth.

Empathy is not a soft skill.

It is a leadership discipline.

Celebrating 6 long years of The I Am Experience! A movement that certainly changed my life, but has also touched the lives of tens of thousands of kids all over Canada - teaching them the power of reflection, acceptance of self and respect! 🖤
