Your movies, tv shows, music, books, comics & games shelved beautifully.
Track it. Value it. Share it.

Publish your shelf and anyone can wander it — no app, no account, just a link. Friends can check what you already own before they buy you a duplicate, and the wishlist tab quietly answers “what do I get them?” forever.

You control it: publish, update, or take it down any time. The link in our bio is a real collection, go see how it reads.

Every disc, sleeve, and spine — finally on one shelf.

I’ve spent months building Keptcase, an iPhone app for people who still buy their movies, music, books, and games. Scan a barcode, get the cover, the cast, the track list, and what your copy is worth. Then share your whole shelf as a page anyone can browse.

What you’re looking at is my actual collection — 1,981 pieces of it.

Beta’s almost ready. The shelf link in bio is live right now if you want
to wander through it.

Pumpkin Patch is the Halloween look in Keptcase 1.0.9, and it is the whole shelf, not a sticker. A harvest moon rises over a dusk-purple wall and the bats cross it while you scroll. The rows sit on barn-wood planks with a carved jack-o’-lantern glowing at the end of every one, and a skeleton has taken a seat on the search bar and is not leaving until November. Your covers do the rest: the horror shelf has never looked more at home.

Turn it on for one shelf or all six. Settings, Preferences, Shelf Theme, or Theme in any shelf’s menu. Movies in Pumpkin Patch and the records in their crate, if that is how your house works. Switch it off on November 1st, or leave it all year round!

The look is the fun part, but 1.0.9 is the biggest update yet. Track what you pre-ordered and file it to the shelf the day it lands. Every title’s page redrawn, with what you paid and what it is worth on one card. Log a watch from anywhere, search every shelf from Home, list a copy for sale, review a haul one disc at a time. The full list is in the app under What’s New, and it is all on the App Store now.

Two collectors under one roof, each on their own Apple ID, keeping the same shelf. Start a household in Settings, hand the other person its code, and whatever either of you adds, edits or removes is on both phones. Each title says who added it.

Watches, ratings and the diary stay your own. The shelf is shared; the
viewing history is not.

One Keptcase Pro covers one other member of your household, so the person joining does not subscribe. New in 1.0.6 LIVE in the App Store! by @keptcase

Keptcase is on iPad. Home in two columns, the shelves as wide as the
window, eight covers across, and the item page in a column you can read from the couch. Portrait or landscape, whichever way the iPad is lying.

It is the same collection as your iPhone, not a copy of it. Sign in on
both and what you add on one is on the other the next time you open the app.

Free to try for 7 days then $4.99 a month or $39.99 for the year, one collection on both devices. Keptcase 1.0.5 is on the App Store now. by @keptcase

Choose a Cover: every printing the databases hold, and the pack shots other collectors confirmed, so the cover on your shelf is the cover in the app. Or photograph your copy and frame it yourself.

Also in this one: your whole Letterboxd export read into the diary day for day. Across Your Shelves, one page for a world that lives on three shelves. Every printed form of a barcode is asked, so a CD scans first time. Comics say who wrote and drew them. Values in your own money. Big shelves scroll smoother. Notifications land somewhere.

Free for 7 days, then one price for every shelf. Link in bio. by @keptcase

Who directed the one on the third shelf down. Which of these two came out first. Which album has that track on it. A cover, hidden under tiles, turned over one at a time until somebody calls it.

Shelf Trivia writes every question from what you actually own, so the answers are already in the room. Two to six players, one phone passed around the table, a scoreboard at the end. Nothing is looked up while you play; the questions come from your own catalogue, and a shelf with a hundred titles has more than enough in it for a night.

There is a Host’s Shelf round too. The guests answer questions about your collection, and only you know how badly they did.

Keptcase 1.0.3 is on the App Store.

This one came from your emails and reviews - thank you!

 What’s new:

- Choose a Cover: every poster, printing and pressing the databases hold for a title, plus the packshots other collectors have confirmed. Pick the one you actually own.

- Find a Different Match: scanned the standard edition when you hold the deluxe? Re-match any item in two taps.

- Series with a reading order on Books and Comics: what’s next, what’s read, what’s missing.

- Across Your Shelves: a franchise page that joins your films, seasons, games, books and soundtracks.

- Numbers on every Stats bar, and a count on every shelf.

- Bulk add from a search, every format on every shelf, digital copies counted apart, a yearly reading goal, the Discover deck, and Shelf Trivia for game night.

- Imports from CLZ, My Movies Pro, DVD Profiler and plain CSV, covers and all.

Free to try, and your collection is always yours to export. by @keptcase

Case in hand, no idea if it’s already on the shelf at home? Check my shelf: scan the barcode or just type the title and your shelf answers on the spot. On your shelf, on your wishlist, not on your shelf, or the one that matters: “you own this film, but not this release”, naming both editions. This also works with your tv shows, music, books, comics, and video games.

(That’s a real Blu-ray scanned over the VHS at home by the way) by @keptcase

Comics have their own rack now! Single issues, trades, omnibuses and graded slabs, with the publisher and the writer on every card. Scan a floppy and Keptcase asks a database of 950,000 issues. a comic’s barcode names the series, so it asks which issue is in your hand and narrows the run as you type the number.

Every series is a page: each issue in order, what you own, the gaps with a Wishlist button.

This new addition to the app will be available this week so make sure you keep an eye out for the update! by @keptcase

An album page in Keptcase carries the pressing, the label, the artist bio and the complete track listing. Not six of twelve songs because that’s what a store licensed; the whole side A and side B, or nothing. If a listing can’t be verified complete, Keptcase leaves it blank rather than publish a wrong one.

Your record shelf, catalogued the way record stores never had time to.
