A huge thank you to @healthandfitness_mag for giving me the opportunity to share a little insight into my relationship with depression & how I’ve taken control, allowing me to live my best life✨! I don’t have all the answers and no matter how far I get in this life, I won’t ever say I will but what I do know for sure, is that we are far more capable of being the people we want to be and our mind and spirit is ALWAYS stronger than we may initially lead ourselves to believe ☁️💫#mentalhealthawareness #journeytowellness #selfacceptance #love #kindess #compassion #psyclelondon @mindcharity @psyclelondon by @kerisveb

If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always got. And maybe moving forward doesn’t mean moving faster.

Don’t get me wrong, sometimes a quicker pace is necessary, but it doesn’t have to be the default. Because slowing down isn’t the same as standing still.

Sometimes slowing down is actually choosing yourself. Being selective about where your energy goes. Stepping back to see the bigger picture and asking yourself:

How do I actually want to feel while I’m experiencing this life?

As I fast approach 36 (I know I’m ageing brilliantly, praise be!, and I haven’t even had Botox yet, just wait!) I’m exercising my right to free will a little more every day and honestly, I love it here.

I’ve long realised that I don’t need to live my life according to an invisible timeline, someone else’s expectations or a definition of what I should be doing by now. And I highly recommend you do the same.

So if you need permission to move differently, take this as a sign.

You don’t have to rush.

Choose your pace. Protect your energy & enjoy the journey. 🤍
