New article: a reflection on the music and artistic voice of Melinda Wagner.
Her music sits in an interesting space between new musical exploration and traditional expressive sensibility. Writing about her work has been a deeply rewarding process.

We are honored to welcome Augusta Read Thomas @augustareadthomasofficial to Echelon Magazine & Echelon Radio as one of our “Élite” composers. An extraordinary artist and genuinely one of the kindest souls I’ve encountered.

From the conservatory to the international stage. 🌍🎶🇺🇳

I’m incredibly honored to represent Manhattan School of Music during five days of international dialogue in Washington, D.C. (Capitol Hill) and at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, with the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy.

I look forward to bringing my work as a composer, educator, and arts leader into conversations surrounding women’s leadership, cultural diplomacy, music education, identity, and the role of the arts in shaping our global communities.

Honored to bring music education beyond the classroom and conservatory—and into the broader landscape of cultural diplomacy and international dialogue. ❤️
