@jamesjudges and I have built this deployable system for power poses that combines a @kesslercrane Pocket Jib with a @dji_ronin RS3 with remote head control. Using the @sonycine motion control app on an IPad Pro allows us to select parts of the jerseys to tab and grab focus so we can whip around on close up details without the camera freaking out. Add some fog, lighting and drape from @bespoke.av and you’ve got a pro level booth that can be torn down in 30 minutes.

After hiking in up hill almost 2 miles just before sunset I had this shot programmed and ready to go. I made a custom plate so I could center the lens so that the spin at the end would't wobble. As I reached for my control device to trigger the program, I received an error on one of my axis... most likely from a non OEM cable. Luckily it was an easy fix which took a few minutes to sus out.
It was great to see that this 8hr+ shot worked when I collected the camera just before dawn.

Haven’t played with the @kesslercrane cineslider in bit. Decided to break it out for some practice and shoot the card from Tony’s celebration of life. Had a very nice gathering last weekend to talk story and share memories.

Being stationed at Ash Mountain meant a dedicating many weekends to capture this shot. Weather and forest fires thwarted many attempts, but as fate would have it the '25 shutdown allowed plenty of time to be in the right place.

I'm posting a series of full length time lapses from my short film, Sequoia.

The 2025 Dark Sky Festival and Star Party at Sequoia was one of the years highlights. Everyone involved was amazing to work with and I'm grateful for them allowing me to capture this shot.
