Control Kessler motion and Canon camera functions from one SKAARHOJ PTZ Extreme. 🎥

In this setup, a Kessler Second Shooter, Kessler Slider and Canon XF605 are combined into one workflow. 🥇Control slider movement, pan/tilt and camera zoom, map the controls to your setup, and recall multiple movements together as presets.

In our full YouTube video, we take a closer look at how this Combo Device setup brings the Kessler and Canon equipment together through the SKAARHOJ PTZ Extreme, including the Blue Pill setup used to connect the Kessler Second Shooter.

I got to shoot some Kobo commercial’s a couple of months ago, and here’s some of the BTS on one of those spots. Watch the actual spot in higher resolution in my highlights under New Work.

Haven’t played with the @kesslercrane cineslider in bit. Decided to break it out for some practice and shoot the card from Tony’s celebration of life. Had a very nice gathering last weekend to talk story and share memories.

After hiking in up hill almost 2 miles just before sunset I had this shot programmed and ready to go. I made a custom plate so I could center the lens so that the spin at the end would't wobble. As I reached for my control device to trigger the program, I received an error on one of my axis... most likely from a non OEM cable. Luckily it was an easy fix which took a few minutes to sus out.
It was great to see that this 8hr+ shot worked when I collected the camera just before dawn.

I first met Rodney in 2012 via the @zacuto & @kesslercrane #revengeofthegreatcamerashootout with @mickjones and we remained friends over the last decade plus .

We met many times in London and the U.S.

The thing I remember most about Rodney was his kindness, his curiosity, his deep passion for everything light, cinematography, stories and his love of his family.

One tale that sticks out was him sharing how he visited the set of The Last Samurai, caught the eye of Tom Cruise at lunch and was promptly asked to leave 🤣

Only a few months ago I was chatting to @maycharters and she replied, “I’m with Dad, he says hi…”

He was brimming with kindness and love.🥰

Rest in peace mate
