The neurodivergent kid to trans artist who paints mythical monsters pipeline is a singular portal and also happening all the time all at once. Time is an illusion, humanity is baffling, and it turns out if I can spend 4 months or 4 years sketching harpies, I can also walk into my studio for 45 minutes and make this happen. How liberating to unmask and fly free and weird and wild. Ready for a part ta-whooo or…?

Trying new things when you’re stuck can be massively tough to kick off, but getting free is everything.

I have been crafting masks for a year, stopping, distracted, halted by the entropy of the wider reality. Now, I am refusing that hold. So while visiting friends in Seattle with a 3D printer, I quickly taught myself Nomad on mobile and here we go. An owl/puffin/baby harpy mask. What should I make next? Maybe a shaggy griffin. #nonbinaryartist #artflow #maskmaking #3dprintedart #nomad3d by @ketchwehr

🌈♥️ Pride season ♥️🌈 The haters can hate, but we will always fight for freedom, authenticity, and liberation.

I am forever grateful for the incredible, world-expanding, heart-exploding experience of being queer, of being a queer millennial, of being a queer millennial in the queer/punk/hardcore/activist/artist communities in Philly in my 20s.

There is no precedent, there is no obligatory role you must adhere to. The open-ended possibilities can be dizzying and intimidating, but ultimately transcendent, transformative, and beautiful.

Happy Pride! 🌋🌈♥️ by @ketchwehr

Pride season is upon us and wow is it more important than ever that we resist psychic death. The powers that be want us to believe we can be crushed, disappeared from public life, that there is something wrong or broken in our queerness. But we are valid, worthy, and whole entirely as we are. Keep safe, stay strong, show up where you can, and have a very HAPPY PRIDE ❤️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️✨ by @ketchwehr

This one infuses magic and realness and joy into every day. It’s a masterclass in playful, wildly capable, complex and empathetic parenting to do this with her. I am so grateful for the care and labor and radical love you put into our little family. It is extraordinary and I am just so in love with you. You are glitter and volcanoes and deep roots and fire and air. Buona Festa della Mamma (a Stati uniti) amore mio @melaniejade6 ✨💋💐🥐❤️ by @ketchwehr
