🎯 Learn to SNATCH in 4 Easy Steps 🏋️‍♂️
Master the kettlebell snatch by breaking it down into the key positions:

1️⃣ Low Pull – Feel the hips drive and guide the bell back.
2️⃣ Mid Pull – Keep it close to the body, elbow leads the way.
3️⃣ High Pull – Float the bell, relax the grip.
4️⃣ Snatch – Punch through and lock out overhead with control.

Each step builds the next. Don’t rush the process — earn the snatch through practice and patience.

💥 Start light. Stay smooth. Build power.

Make your press stronger with the Loaded Clean.
Clean a kettlebell one size heavier than you can press.
Tense every muscle — grip, abs, glutes — for 2–3 seconds.
Then park the bell, rest 2–3 minutes, and press heavy.

This is called a supramaximal activation — it fires up your nervous system so your real press feels lighter.
The Loaded Clean = secret weapon for a stronger press. ⚡💪

A shallow swing is like pulling a bow halfway.

You might still launch the arrow—but you’re leaving power on the table.

On the left, I’m barely loading the hips. The hinge is shallow, so there’s less room to load the posterior chain and create a powerful hip snap.

On the right, I reach the hips farther back while keeping the spine organized and the feet planted.

More hip load.
More tension.
More potential for power.

The goal isn’t to hinge as deep as humanly possible.

It’s to find the deepest strong, controlled hinge your structure allows.

Think:

Load the hips like a bow.
Then let the hips launch the bell.

Strength is a skill.

Overhead Strong.

This is an advanced double-kettlebell complex built around explosive leg drive and strong overhead work:

🔹 Double kettlebell squat snatch
🔹 Double kettlebell jerk
🔹 Double kettlebell thruster / long push press

Run it as a 2–3–5 ladder:

2 reps each → 3 reps each → 5 reps each

Perform up to 3 full ladders, resting as needed between rounds.

Choose bells you can control and make every overhead position solid.

You’re training power, strength, coordination, and conditioning in one simple sequence.

Don’t rush it.
Stay sharp.
Own every rep.

Power from the ground. Strength overhead.

Strength is a skill.

Stop casting the kettlebells away from you in the double clean.

On the left, the bells travel out in a wide arc.

That wastes energy and makes the clean harder than it needs to be.

On the right, the bells stay close to the body and drop down and back.

Think about standing in front of a wall.

You don’t want to throw the kettlebells into the wall.

Keep them close. Guide them down. Let them travel back into the hinge.

Wide arc = wasted energy.
Tight path = cleaner, stronger clean.

Don’t throw the bells away.

Keep them close.

Strength is a skill.

Find the wall.

One of the most common mistakes I see in the kettlebell swing is leaning back at the top instead of finishing tall.

That usually means the lockout is coming from the lower back instead of a strong, stacked position.

So we used a simple drill.

Against the wall, I had him get tall, stack the body, brace the abs, and feel what a true standing plank should feel like.

The goal was to teach him:

Ribs stacked.
Abs braced.
Glutes tight.
No leaning back.

Then we went straight back to the swing.

A few reps later, the lockout was already starting to look cleaner.

That’s what good corrective work should do.

Create the position. Feel the position. Then apply it to the movement.

Don’t chase the bell higher.

Find the wall. Finish tall.

Strength is a skill.

One movement. Four ways to challenge your overhead strength.

The double kettlebell press doesn’t have to look the same every time.

Here are four variations I like:

🔹 Double military press — both bells move together
🔹 Alternating press — one side presses while the other stays in the rack
🔹 Seesaw press — one bell rises as the other comes down
🔹 High-hold alternating press — both bells start overhead, then one lowers and presses back up while the opposite arm stays locked out

Each variation changes the demands on your shoulders, trunk, coordination, stability, and overhead control.

You don’t need endless exercise variety, but strategically changing the variation can give you a new stimulus while still practicing the same fundamental skill.

Master the basic press first.

Then use variations to keep building it.

Same movement. Different challenge. Continued progress.

Strength is a skill.

Stop shrugging your shoulders in the kettlebell swing.

On the left, I’m letting the shoulders rise and using my arms to lift the kettlebell.

That takes away from what should be powering the swing:

The hips.

On the right, I keep the shoulders organized, engage the lats, and let the arms act as a connection between my body and the kettlebell.

Think:

Shoulders packed.
Lats engaged.
Hips snap.
Bell floats.

You don’t need to pull the kettlebell higher with your arms.

Create more power from the hips and let the bell travel as a result.

Don’t shrug it. Swing it.

Strength is a skill.
