There is a deep silence in the desert that seems to change everything within it.

Listening to ALTUS in Namibia, the music seemed to open up in ways I hadn't experienced before. by @kevinkellerpro

Working on ALTUS, I followed the music as it unfolded, sometimes to familiar territory, sometimes to places I had never explored before.

I discovered unity in things that, at first, seem unrelated. by @kevinkellerpro

Last week, I performed “The Gatekeeper” live for the first time, at the Brooklyn Experimental Electronic Music showcase. Here is a little of that first encounter.

The piece is from my new album, ALTUS, releasing October 30.

There are sounds on ALTUS that feel familiar. And then there are sounds I had never heard before - like the album opening, created on the Solar 42.

You can hear more of ALTUS. Pre-order today at https://kevinkeller.bandcamp.com/album/altus by @kevinkellerpro

I thought that ALTUS had come from my studio. But in Namibia, I began to wonder if it had somehow come from that landscape—even though I had never been there before. by @kevinkellerpro

ALTUS began not with an idea, but with a recognition. Have you ever had the feeling that you were discovering something rather than creating it? by @kevinkellerpro
