Block 2: veterinary diagnostic lab ✅
So many necropsies and slides 🔬
We definitely learned so much and I’m so happy I had my first block with other classmates who made it so much fun!
Idk if I have no appetite from the necropsies or from the stress of my board exam but hey at least we can eliminate the necropsies off the list now 😬
Next stop: shelter med 🐱🐶

Block 2, week 2 ✅
Last week of clinical pathology 🦠 I learned so much the past two weeks, so happy I had this rotation first
Started the week at a tailgate with @ua_snabv and of course danced 90% of the time 💃🏽
Was able to collect samples from Duke and he was the best boy and his little bump came back as nothing and his bloodwork was perfect 🥹🥰
Realized that prepping blood smears isn’t for the weak
Had another little visitor in the house 🦎
Ended the week with a balanced lunch 🥪
Next two weeks we’re on necropsy 🪦⚰️💀 by @khali.rob.vet

Clinical Pathology 🦠🔬🐾🩺
This rotation is such a good one to have before NAVLE! It’s such a good recap, but definitely makes you use your brain 🧠 by @khali.rob.vet

Block 1 of clinical year ✅
Wow can’t believe we’re officially less than one year away from graduation (which means we’re closer to NAVLE and I’m shakin in my boots)!
Finished my NAVLE block at home to squeeze in the last bit of free time that I have.
Still studying hard and still feeling like I know nothing 🙂

NAVLE Block🤓 Half way through block 1 of clinical year!
During this block we study Monday-Friday 8am-5pm for our boards 🙂 some hours are lectures from our professors that provide us with common diseases or topics that can be on the exam. Other hours are independent study hours where we focus on vet prep and try to learn about every disease in the world (including some human diseases 🤨)
But we’re enjoying the little time I have on the side. This week Duke had a friend, Bagel 🥯. The house lost a few plants (& people 🙁), but gained two more and we’re all excited for new beginnings 🪴 I got back into the rhythm of the gym & track 🏃🏽‍♀️
But I will say, stress levels are currently a 10/10 🥲 haven’t been this stressed out the whole time I’ve been here 🙃 by @khali.rob.vet
