POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This past week, the Class of 2027 received their white coats with their mentees by their side, a moment that marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter. 🤍🥼

Today, they officially wrap up their didactic year and head into clinical rotations. We couldn’t be more proud of all they’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make in veterinary medicine.

Congratulations, Tenniya Martin, Khali Robinson, Chez Epps, and Dana Hall! Keep reaching for the stars and helping grow the 2% of Black veterinarians. The future is brighter because of you. ✨🐾🩺

@uazvetmed became Arizona’s first public, accredited College of Veterinary Medicine. Beyond that, it brought me to some amazing people. 💗

Want to run farther with fewer injuries? Stop thinking it’s all about running👇🏽

The strongest runners build the muscles that keep their body efficient, stable, and resilient.

1️⃣ Kettlebell Rows
A strong upper back improves posture and keeps your torso from collapsing as fatigue builds—so every stride stays efficient.

2️⃣ Weighted Planks
Build deep core stability to reduce wasted movement and protect your low back, hips, and knees when mileage increases.

3️⃣ Deficit RDL With Medicine Ball
Builds hamstring and glute strength through a deeper range of motion, improving hip control and reducing risk of strains.

4️⃣ Challenging Push-Up Variation
Strong chest, shoulders, and core support arm drive and posture so you don’t break down when fatigue hits.

5️⃣ Unilateral Glute Bridges
Corrects imbalances, improves pelvic stability, and reduces compensations that often show up as knee or IT band pain.

6️⃣ Shoulder Stability Exercises
Improves arm swing efficiency and helps maintain upright posture and breathing mechanics on longer runs. Plus you’ll build delts to make the boys jealous 😉

✨ Train smarter, not just more. Strong runners don’t just log miles—they build resilience.

👉 If you’re local, come try a class at F45 and build the strength that actually carries over to your runs.

Which one are you adding first?

Yeah, I always wanted to become a veterinarian. I couldn’t imagine anything else. Then I couldn’t imagine getting accepted into the very competitive veterinary schools. THEN I was accepted, and my first thought -> NAVLE! (Iykyk)

It’s so surreal to be here. I keep checking my email to make sure it’s actually my name that is signed up! Because what do you mean IM TAKING THE NAVLE!

Everyone says it, but here’s proof, dreams are possible. I’m grateful for this opportunity. It is an opportunity that years ago, I never thought was possible. Thank you to those that support me. I wouldn’t be here without the people around me that always believed I could get here. I just want to make all of you and all of the babies 🐾 so proud. 💗

Check back around Christmas for results. 🙏

Khali Robinson is building her future with purpose, resilience, and heart. ✨🐾

As a veterinary student at the University of Arizona, she is on her way to becoming the first doctor in her family and creating space in a profession where representation matters deeply. As one of the few people of color in veterinary medicine, her journey is a powerful reminder that success does not have one timeline.

With a passion for small animal surgery, emergency care, and street medicine, Khali is committed to making veterinary care more accessible for underserved communities. For her, veterinary medicine is not just about treating animals—it is about serving people, building trust, and creating real change.

Her path is shaped by discipline, compassion, and the belief that doing things at your own pace is still progress.

Vet Candy is proud to recognize Khali Robinson as a Rising Star. 🌟
