Im tired yall.
I was approached by Jonathan to show my work spring of 2025.
I never saw them again.
I have been contacting jonathan myself and through mutual associates to get my work back for over a year. He has been silent and opaque. I am exasperated.
Apparently me and the other artists works he had were transferred to another institution for storage/shipping back to us. but i have not receive any details about how to contact them, what condition my work is in, or when i will receive it back.
I am sharing this here as a public form of accountability, i will take this post down once my work is in hand. Otherwise this will be a reminder that galleries will not operate as normal on the backs of artists silence.

Update: @mymajiart and @adrianarmstrongart got me the contact info for the organization hold jonathans lot. Ill take this down once i get my work back. by @khari.studio

Been thinking about the black ninja as a trope in video games. My dad use to call me “ninja man” when i was a kid. I also been thinking about how the ninja emoji is a euphemism for the N word in online spaces.
Ive been playing as raven online in tekken 8 and im struck by how he doesnt have a name. even though he is clearly reflective of people like wesley snipes blade, michael jae white and other folks.
This reification of black anonymous assassin reflect the ways that ronald duncan the first person to practice ninjutsu in america was scrutinized and erased from the broader conversation of karate in manstream publications of his time. I dont know what these connections mean. Im just noticing, especially after seeing your mother your mother your mother. by @khari.studio

Finding ways to use some drawings that didn’t make the cut earlier in the draft.
Ive been fascinated by the almost complete absence of black women from Black American karate’s history before the late 80’s. I have alot of questions. by @khari.studio
