Uncover the vibrant stories that define Manchester. This captivating photojournalistic book celebrates the diverse lives that make this extraordinary city so unique.

Photographer Khayam says: “I noticed a gap—a directory of Manchester’s movers and shakers didn’t exist. So, I embarked on a journey to document the remarkable people up north. My aim? To create a print book featuring 100 inspiring individuals. Join me on this adventure!”

This was by far one of the funniest, poignant and ambitious project I orchestrated. Moving to Manchester I was shocked by the lack of green spaces so I wanted to explore: What would happen if we were over exposed to concrete. What would that look like? Feel like? So with my amazing team we took to an abandoned car factory and got to work!!

Snaps from @rushworlds

When @jandotime made a post about a mini boomtown I had to see it for myself. Safe to say mission accomplished

Some of my favourite snaps from boomtown

Busey, Bens, Bath salts, Boomtown, Battle-star galactica, Bears.

It’s easy to forget with the spectacle thats boomtown its music that’s at the heart of it and like you’ll see a thousand big photos but icl this one is one of my favourite cos its so small.

Some random but hauntingly beautiful performance

“Do you wanna join us?”
“I don’t know what this is”

😂

“BISH BASH BOSH”

My circus. My monkeys

More circus more monkeys

@140bpmahns did more for south Asian culture than Shahrukh Khan - I said what I said

I haven’t got words for these two photos but they’re also cool and you should also see them taken in Boomtown Festival by @khays_camera

Photos nor videos will do this set justice. These lads shelled it differently. Easily a big highlight from my @boomtownfairofficial experience this year. Got me feeling like a proud dad icl.

Do yourself a favour, give the lads a follow:

Misery loves company and I just watched my showreel so you should watch it too.

S/O to @djshorty79 for this insane mix. I kid you not - I threw him a list of my favourite tracks and he just killed it. Deffo give him a follow.

S/O to everyone to featured in and adjacent to this video. Film and photography is a conversation between the subject and the artist and we weave a beautiful narrative together

My name is Khayam, I’m a photographer film maker in Manchester and I’m in a suspiciously good mood 🤙🏾 taken in Manchester, United Kingdom by @khays_camera
