001: 𝐿𝑒𝒶𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇&𝐿𝒶𝒸𝑒 Sleek high-neck faux-leather top, paired with high-waisted faux-leather trousers featuring dramatic long, sheer lace panels that drape down the legs. I created this look to merge bold, structured leather with delicate flowing lace, balancing hard-edged confidence and quiet softness in one silhouette. Here is the final part of our conversation with Khay and of course we finish on our Positive Note. He leaves us with a wonderful piece of advice that I think is worth remembering: “If you leave people, places and things better than you found them, everything will be better off.” Simple. Powerful. And something we can all take into our everyday lives. Whether it’s the people we meet, the places we visit or the things we become part of imagine if we all tried to leave them just a little bit better than we found them. A brilliant way to finish a brilliant conversation. Thank you to Khay for taking the time to join me on The People’s Podcast and for sharing so many honest thoughts, stories and different perspectives. Today, in our conversation with Khay, we get into the Guests Question set by Filip which is: “Do you regret not spending enough time with your family?” Khay’s answer has a little bit of everything but most importantly, it gives us a lovely insight into his family, especially his mum. Khay explains that family is at the forefront of everything he does, and one thing he says really stood out to me… No matter what happens in life, no matter where you go or what you do, Khay knows he’s always welcome at home. That feeling of knowing there’s a place where you’ll always be welcomed is something really special. Another conversation that takes us somewhere completely different, and another reminder of why I love doing this podcast because you never quite know where one question is going to take you. How important is family to you? Besties I’m on the hunt for my favourite roast dinner in Manchester so obviously my first stop had to be one of my favourites @zoukteabar Zouk offer single roasts or sharing platters! If you go you have to try the lamb, it was so soft and juicy, the seasoning on the chicken slapped too. They have two gravy options, spicy or normal. Ngl besties the spicy gravy wasn’t for me, but the normal gravy was delish. As someone who’s very picky about a roast I’d definitely have it again! Where’s your favourite spot? “What’s something in your life that isn’t going well?” This takes us into a really honest conversation with Khay. He opens up about something he’s been going through that has become a massive roadblock in his life something he’s had to navigate around rather than simply overcome. He talks about how important his support network has been in getting him through it, and how much the people around us can matter when life gets difficult. Khay also shares his view that, as we get older, life can become exponentially tougher. There will be challenges, difficult periods and things that don’t go the way we want them to. But perhaps part of growing up is learning how to adapt, live alongside the difficult times and keep pushing forward. He then links this whole idea to a very well-known TV show and I really liked the analogy. Sometimes you don’t get to choose the obstacles in front of you. You just have to figure out how to navigate them. 🎙️ Episode 10 of The People’s Podcast with George Callcut 🎙️ Today we meet Khay! We kick off Episode 10 by asking Khay “Why did you take a seat?” His answer really resonated with me. In our increasingly fast-paced lives, it can be so easy to disconnect from the people around us. Khay makes a conscious effort to slow down, connect with people and make that extra effort whenever he can. We then ask “What’s something in your life that’s going really well?” Khay is currently starting a new project and recently put a call out on social media asking who would like to get involved. The response? Loads of people wanting to be part of it. What makes that even more meaningful is hearing about his journey from moving from London to Manchester and feeling really lonely, to now having a network of people around him who are willing to back him and support what he’s doing. There’s something really humbling about putting yourself out there and having people believe in you. A brilliant start to our conversation with Khay, and I’m wishing him all the best with the new project. I can’t wait for you to hear the rest of our conversation.

Yesterday I helped @khays_camera pull a shoot together, sourcing a last minute studio when the weather wouldn’t allow for the original concept. Huge shout out to @spot101studios for being so accommodating! Then another spanner was thrown in with the model cancelling due to car issue. But we love working under pressure and putting a whole new plan together. No wasted studio space, just the perfect opportunity to get Khayams story out there and highlight some of his best work!
