We did it!

The UKs first roast battle with mostly Muslim performers

Special thanks to
@saleha.masud and @khcomedyfest who helped organise the event.

Our judges
@shugufta_doescomedy
@smashbengali
And Saleha

Two of which gave us an awesome battle at the end

Our battlers:
@realslimshadi__
@mohaimenjokes
@naphcomedy
@travisarthur
@deejaykhalda
@imranhahafeez
@kashkureshi
@bobby.jethro

And our fantastic Compere who carried us through the show @jay_droch

This was an event put as part of the Kings Heath comedy festival. The first of its kind and hopefully not the last.
Thank you to all those who came out and supported.

Big shout out to our battlers, judges and host who gave it their all and brought the fire, drama and jokes.

To witness unity in the Muslim and wider comedy community is something truly special and long may it continue. taken in Kings Heath Community Centre by @khcomedyfest

SATURDAY! Channel 4 Sean Lock Comedy Award winning @ericrushton96 presents an hour of work-in-progress material @hareandhoundsbrum.
Eric’s previous solo show, Innkeeper, was listed as one of the best reviewed shows of the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe, before transferring to the Soho Theatre and a UK and international tour.

“[He] knocks-off grade-A punchlines with a shrug, basking in a superlative gag rate to conceal the dark heart of his story” - ★★★★ The List
“When it comes to assured off-the-wall confessional comedy he is very much hot shit.” - ★★★★ Beyond The Joke

Last-minute dot com has called and ROHAN WILL ANSWER
I am doing a show that is v v loosely about books and reading and authors and etc. Basically I got a 2.1 in my English Lit degree and now I'm going to make that YOUR problem.

💃If you are coming to the Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever in Kings Heath on Sunday then we'd love it if you could bring a tin... or bottle. Our food and toiletries bank is looking very low, so we'd be grateful of anything you could bring along. Just look for the orange bin by the Anawim stand on York Road. 🧡 by @khcomedyfest

UPDATE

We are postponing McGee’s Comedy Gala which was scheduled for Saturday, due to unforeseen circumstances.

All ticket holders have received refunds.

Although we have to re-arrange this particular show, Cate McGee will still be with us in spirit all weekend, and we will continue to raise funds for @epilepsysociety in her good name.

We hope to redo the show in September so keep them eyes peeled 👀

Much love 🫶 taken in CircusMASH UK by @khcomedyfest
