Hello my beautiful family!! I’m excited to announce I’m opening commissions for the summer :) Finally being able to open commissions again after working so hard in grad school is a big milestone for me. As I go on to my clinical rotations, I’m hoping to support myself through my art 🩷

For inquiries, please DM me!! Opening 5 slots for the month of June, I will update if this changes!

Kindly note the following:
- I no longer draw/illustrate faces, pets, or people due to my own comfort level/religious reasons and development as an artist :)
- All signage is ONLY available to those in the STL area for pickup/delivery
- Artwork such as paintings, physical illustrations, and cake toppers are available for shipping! US only 🩵 shipping rates apply
- Digital illustrations are open to all! 🥰 by @khush.raho.studios

I am beyond honored to announce that I will be donating my “One Ummah” piece to Masjid Al-Noor in New Zealand!

This piece was originally dedicated to the victims of the ChristChurch Mosque shooting that occurred in 2019. I painted, sewed, and arranged prayer rugs for each victim that was martyred in this horrific event. To me, this piece was a form of remembrance of all the believers that didn’t get to return home that evening, and the sobering thought that their final destination in this world was their beloved place of worship. This piece also means the world to me because it was one of the first large-scale multimedia pieces I ever created - to this day I am so proud of how it turned out.

It’s unreal to think that my artwork will forever reside where it’s meant to belong. I want to give a heartfelt thank you to the Al-Noor community for accepting my piece, and thank you to Kamran for coordinating this exciting donation ✨ And finally, thank you to my lovely and talented Rawan for the commemorative photos 🤍 by @khush.raho.studios

Digital doodle page! This was so fun to make since I got to just layer a bunch of watercolor brushes on top of each other, I like the colors and how they all bleed into each other <3 🌺🌸🌷 by @khush.raho.studios

Acrylic figs and flowers 🌺

I genuinely had no plan for this painting when I started but it was so fun to create! I like the funky composition and the colors, the gold motifs weren’t planned either but I’m so glad I added them. The whole design reminds me of those big blankets you see at every desi persons house LOL.

“Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort” Quran 13:28 🫒

I’m so grateful I found the time to finish this painting I started over the summer! I’m still on a journey to get better at Arabic calligraphy, especially while trying to make it still feel like my own, but Alhamdullilah I’m honestly really happy with how this turned out! I really like the soft colors, and the olives ofc. I also did a ton of layering with this painting, going back and wiping away paint with rags to help with the placement of the lettering while still trying to be more free with it.

Almost two months ago I designed my best friend’s nikkah invitations!! Creating things for and with the people you love always makes them turn out better 🥹🤍🤍 For the post I took out the invite info, but it was so fun trying to figure out a design that’s both illustrative and gives room for the text! by @khush.raho.studios

I’m slowly finding joy in making art again, and also going on other creative side quests such as creating flower arrangements, designing my graduation cap, photography, and making matcha (ok maybe that last one isn’t so creative, but idc I still love it) 🫶

Fruits from paradise on Earth 🇵🇸

Please continue to call representatives and demand ceasefire, continue to speak up for, pray for, and educate yourself and others on what’s going on. The genocide is not merely an event or reaction to last month, rather, it’s a decades-long and ongoing ethnic cleansing, occupation, and apartheid. Be mindful of the language you use, and the language used by the media you consume. Free 🇵🇸🫒🍉 by @khush.raho.studios
