EXHIBITION ANNOUNCEMENT🎨👩🏾‍🎨

I’ll be exhibiting at the @articlesartshow Black History Month Edition on 31st October & 1st November!

This exhibition is about bringing artists and creatives together for a weekend to celebrate black art, culture, creativity and community.

For those discovering my work for the first time, I’m Kiana Manu, a London-based portrait artist specialising in oil painting. My work explores representation and diversity within traditional portraiture, drawing inspiration from Renaissance and classical art, African visual traditions and surrealism.

I’m really looking forward to sharing my work alongside so many talented artists and being part of this celebration of black creativity🤎

Come through and say hi !

First time painting in 4 months and I decided to start with one of the hardest things to paint. hands 😭

I’ve been LOVING painting jewellery lately. It’s so crazy how a bunch of flat colours can come together to create the illusion of shiny metal. It’s like magic!

I was going to wait until this piece was finished before showing you guys, but I’m loving how this first hand has turned out, so here you go!! 😁

Definitely going to be incorporating a lot more jewellery into my paintings from now on✨

What do you think so far?

We’re excited to present ‘To Lift The Ground That Holds Us,’ an exhibition and a series of workshops exploring what it means to carry culture forward, to inherit, adapt, and reimagine it in our own way.
Through painting, sculpture and participatory practice, we’re thinking about what we hold, what changes, and what we choose to make anew.

📍 Lewisham Art House
140 Lewisham Way, London SE14 6PD
16–26 October 2026
Private View: Friday 16 October, 6–9pm
Get your tickets to the Private view and Workshops via the Eventbrite link in bio.
