We’re excited to present ‘To Lift The Ground That Holds Us,’ an exhibition and a series of workshops exploring what it means to carry culture forward, to inherit, adapt, and reimagine it in our own way.
Through painting, sculpture and participatory practice, we’re thinking about what we hold, what changes, and what we choose to make anew.

Whilst I was busy painting my wonderful fiancé Paul managed to snap a few progress photos of most of my fellow artists during PAOTY (episode 7 for those who haven't seen it yet). What a glorious bunch of lovely talented people 🥂

Our #UALProcess winner this week is Kiana Manu @kianamanuart - a 2nd year student on BA Advertising at @lcclondon

“I decided to study Advertising as it shows how art can be used to spread a message and make a change in society. I could also learn better ways to advertise my own art. In my free time I really like to tap into my creative side and create commissioned portrait paintings.

This piece is an oil painting of the artist Central Cee. I think there is something beautiful about an unfinished portrait painting. I decided to use a time lapse to capture the process of this painting as it is beautiful to watch a painting develop.”

Congratulations Kiana! We love the timelapse 👏

Make sure to share your #UALProcess if you’re currently an enrolled UAL student for the chance to win a £25 arts shop voucher and be featured on the feed 🎨
