“Be The Village”

KickNBack was built on the belief that every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Yesterday, hundreds of people helped turn that belief into reality.

To every sponsor who invested.
To every partner who believed.
To every vendor who served.
To every volunteer who gave your time.
To every barber, braider, healthcare provider, community organization, photographer, videographer, and supporter…

Thank you.

You didn’t just donate resources.
You donated your presence.

Every handshake, every haircut, every pair of sneakers, every backpack, every smile, every conversation, and every act of kindness reminded our young people that this community believes in them.

This is why KickNBack exists.

Not simply to hand out sneakers, but to create moments that remind our children they have a village behind them. To show families they aren’t alone. To prove that when a community comes together with a shared purpose, there’s no limit to what we can accomplish.

From the bottom of my heart…

Thank you for believing in KickNBack.
Thank you for believing in our children.
Thank you for believing in our community.

This is only the beginning.

Every child deserves moments like these. Moments where they can simply be kids, dream big, and know that a village believes in them.

Those smiles weren’t just because of new sneakers or backpacks. They came from feeling seen. Feeling celebrated. Feeling loved.

It felt amazing watching hundreds of children smile with excitement, laugh with their friends, and walk through the doors knowing an entire community showed up just for them.

Thank you to every sponsor, partner, volunteer, vendor, and supporter who helped make those smiles possible.

Because at the end of the day, that’s what KickNBack is all about.

Some wishes fit under a tree. Some take a community. 🎄

This December, too many parents in the Algiers are choosing between the light bill and Christmas morning. No family should have to.

On December 19, we’re bringing our neighborhood together to bless up to 15 local families with dinner, 4 gifts for each child and a Christmas they’ll never forget.
Here’s how you can show up:

🎁 Nominate a family, or apply for your own, by October 30
❤ Donate any amount. $40 helps fulfill a child’s wish
🤝 Become a sponsor. Businesses can give through cash, in kind gifts or services

📣 Share this post. The right family, donor or sponsor might be one share away
Everything you need is at the link in bio.

KickNBack 337. 💙💛

In less than a week, a village came together and made it happen. Families showed up. Barbers cut hair. Braiders braided. Food was served. Volunteers stepped in wherever they were needed. And 400+ pairs of sneakers found their way onto the feet of kids who deserved them.

This is what KickNBack looks like beyond New Orleans.

Same mission. Same heart. A different community showing us that when people come together with purpose, impact has no zip code. To our KickNBack 337 team, every volunteer, partner, family, and person who poured into this day: thank you.

We’re just getting started.

KickNBack 337 was proof that when the village believes in the mission, it doesn’t take long to make an impact.

In just ONE WEEK, a community came together and made this happen. Family stepped in. Friends stepped in. Barbers showed up. Braiders showed up. Food was provided. People gave their time, their hands and their hearts to make sure these kids felt loved.

And that’s what stood out to me most. It wasn’t just about giving away sneakers. It was watching a village wrap its arms around its own. What started in Algiers is growing, but the heart of KickNBack remains the same everywhere we go… community taking care of community.

337, y’all showed us what a village looks like.

This is only the beginning!

Together is our tradition!

Community starts with conversations. 💙

We asked one simple question: Why are events like this important? The answers were a reminder that real impact isn’t just about the resources being shared—it’s about bringing people together, building trust, and creating spaces where everyone feels seen and supported.

Every voice matters, and every connection helps strengthen our community.

Thank you to everyone who came out, shared their perspective, and made this day so meaningful. taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @kicknbackfoundation
