We finished our 2026 camp season yesterday with a bang featuring PENN Fishing on the surf targeting bull redfish and a few lucky kids caught em up!

The plan was simple. A 10’ Penn surf rod, lined with 50lb Beyond Braid 8x, a Bull redfish leader by DS Custom Tackle anchored down with a 6oz The Sinker Guy Sputnik and cut mullet from BAITMASTERS/Aylesworth’s Fish & Bait and if you missed it, the Swellpro drone was airborne too!

Batson Enterprises and Salt Life chipped too sending the kids free swag for attending, which was unexpected and AWESOME!

If you didn’t get into a camp this year, don’t worry we will be announcing the 2027 season around the first of the year and PENN is back with us.

Hint…..hint…..we promise it will be Fierce!

Definition of a grinder.

At the end of Day #1 at the Running of the Bulls Charity Surf Redfish Tournament, Clayton had zero redfish on the board. Then on Day #2, he stuck 3 fish in less than 90 minutes.

This crazy feat secured him 2nd place in the Youth Dividion, $800 in cash and a custom surf combo courtesy of Batson Enterprises, Bandit Custom Rods and Florida Fishing Products.

The 2nd place awards were preserved by Workday.

On top of that, Clayton became the first ever 2x youth Calcutta winner taking home a 13’ Fishbites Signature rod.

Now that’s a weekend!

Game day for my brother and the rest of the Chapin Eagles! And in the words of @alafiacastcompany “But first we fish” 🎣

Headed back to Saint Simons Island, GA with @kidscanfish for round 2 of trying to catch a bull redfish! I got some good practice surf fishing with them once, so let’s hope the practice pays off and the sharks bite anyone else’s hook 😂

Competing with Abi is easy and watching her land two Bull Redfish tournament weekend didn’t surprise us.

Abi is the hardest worker, fully committed, extremely knowledgeable and has parents that are all-in on supporting her fishing adventures. From baiting to casting, she does it all.

Let’s celebrate Abi and her 3rd place 36.50” catch which was presented by Foamworks Auto Spa of Brunswick.

On top of her cash prize, we are also very excited that Abi won a Team Rainshadow Revelation surf rod paired with a Resolute 5000 reel. The rod was donated by sponsors Batson Enterprises / Bandit Custom Rods and the reel by Florida Fishing Products.

Congratulations Abi! You earned it and we have you as an early favorite to win the adult division at the 2028 Running of the Bulls Charity Surf Redfish Tournament.

John Croneberger showed out at the 2026 Running of the Bulls Charity Surf Redfish Tournament capturing this 32 inch redfish and 4th place in the youth division.

Columbia PFG presents this award which netted Johnny $320 in cash plus a PENN Fishing surf combo.
