What’s your why?

I’ve said it before, hiking is not always enjoyable for me.
Yes I have fun when I go with friends.
Yes I see beautiful places and maybe get to bathe in a lake or waterfall.
Also yes it’s exhausting and either super hot or super cold and I don’t like feeling sweaty and, above all, I have to keep reapplying my lipstick and that’s annoying 😜

With all the injuries my babe body has, I fear the day I won’t be able to take myself to an outdoor spot anymore.
So I go now, because I can.
Because it’s still accessible to me (what a privilege!) and because it brings me so much joy and peace once I’ve done it.

What’s YOUR why? Or one of them? I’d love to learn that about you 🙏🏽

How I fell in love with Iceland 🇮🇸💘

It all started in 2019 when I got a call from @lindsmacc , then owner of @womenwhoexplore , enthusiastically asking KIKA DO YOU WANT TO GO TO ICELAND???

Lindsay knew I was fascinated with Iceland and her generosity (coupled with my Amex) made it possible for me to join this group 🙏🏽✨ #forevergrateful

Swipe 👉🏽 to see a compilation of highlights from that trip. It was really unforgettable and it of course made me want to visit Iceland again as soon as I could!

Check out my Iceland packing game ! 🧳🎒

Thanks to @bagsmart_official I was able to fit everything I needed, keep my items dry on rainy days WHILE LOOKING CUTE! Cuz we know that’s essential, right ? 💁🏽‍♀️ 🤗

🇭🇷 CROATIA PRIVATE YACHT 🇭🇷

Day 8 for me, Day 7 for the group.
A @womenwhoexplore trip.

Our trip started in Dubrovnik and ended in Split, a beautiful city full of history and traditions. I was left speechless many times following our tour guide and learning about the history of Split and the resilience of the Croatian people.

What a perfect trip!! Thank you @womenwhoexplore for trusting me with this group, and for this opportunity! 🙏🏽
Thank you all who came on this trip for helping make it so fun!

🇭🇷CROATIA PRIVATE YACHT 🇭🇷

Day 7 for me, day 6 for the group.
This was a @womenwhoexplore trip 🥰

I figured I needed to finish this trip’s recap before my next trip - Iceland, where I am flying to TODAY 😵‍💫🤣

I hope you’ll swipe 👉🏽 to see all the fun we had that day! From ducking in a small boat to get into a blue CAVE, to a dance party on the yacht’s deck, to touring the beautiful city of Hvar and me trying pizza in Croatia for the first time 😋

I would definitely go to Croatia again, it is SO pretty and so full of history!

Have you already added it to your list of places to visit ? You better!!

One more recap day for this trip, I’ll try to do it tomorrow - send me focus vibes please hahah
