By @robert_valley and crew.

Dance Central arrived with Kinect, the camera Microsoft wanted people to treat like a controller.

The intro cutscene has the clean version of that idea, before the living room gets involved.

It was directed by Robert Valley and Dan Sumich at Passion Pictures, with Valley’s stretched character designs giving the game a music-video shape before the title screen even loads. by @killedbymotion

A collaboration I loved working on this year was this massive hand drawn animation on paper that I did in installments for @eeegeephonehome to tell the story of a world created and destroyed by a goddess, who, from a mother becomes a knight and finally a hellmouth.
Inspired by tapestries from the late Middle Ages/ early Renaissance.

By Richard Williams

Directed by the legendary Richard Williams (the animation director behind Who Framed Roger Rabbit), The Thief and the Cobbler stands as the most ambitious production in the history of cinema, nearly three decades.
After 28 years of independent labor, financiers seized the film, re-editing it into commercial clones. Yet, the surviving raw footage and the Recobbled Cut remain proof of an era when animation was not an industry product, but uncompromising fine art.

Blockhead - “The Music Scene” (Official Video)

In 2009, Blockhead released “The Music Scene” with a surreal animated video created by artist Anthony F. Schepperd.

The song is about being swept up in the overwhelming flow of modern media and information.

Schepperd’s animation brings that chaos to life. Its fluid transformations depict a world where every idea and living thing is part of a larger, interconnected unfolding.

More than fifteen years after its release, “The Music Scene” remains one of the most celebrated psychedelic music videos of the digital era.
