A network for the bereaved families of women killed by men in the UK. We work to protect women's lives and ensure justice. We want change.

POSTS STORIES REELS

1 NOVEMBER 2026. WE ARE READY. ❤️🖤
FALLEN WOMEN. BEE’S LAW. CHANGE LAWS. SAVE LIVES.

For too long, women have fallen to their deaths, and the circumstances surrounding those deaths have gone unexplored, misunderstood or overlooked. For too long, bereaved families have been left fighting for answers – that changes with us.

Eight years ago, we lost Bianca ‘Bee’ Thomas. What began as one family's determination to seek answers has grown into a national campaign for justice, accountability and meaningful change.

We have already helped change how falls from height are recognised and recorded within national domestic homicide data. We have brought families, researchers, legal experts, investigators and policymakers together. And through Stacey Dooley's 'Fallen Women' documentary (https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0032k3z), we have brought these important questions into homes across the country.

But recognition alone is not enough. Now we are calling for BEE’S LAW:
A national precautionary investigative standard requiring police to examine deaths following falls from height where domestic abuse is known, suspected or cannot reasonably be excluded.
B — Body & Injuries
E — Evidence at the Scene
E — External Accounts & Enquiries

Because a fall tells us how a woman died. It does not necessarily tell us why. We are not asking investigators to presume homicide. We are demanding that evidence is preserved, every reasonable line of enquiry is explored and no conclusion is reached prematurely.

We have already helped change the system. Now we are ready to change the law. For Bee. For every woman whose story deserves to be heard. For every family still searching for answers. And for the women whose lives may yet be saved.

A FALL IS A MECHANISM, NOT A CONCLUSION.
Watch. Share. Stand with us.

'Experts warn society’s growing contempt for women is driving the terrifying surge in violence against women and girls. New figures show 15 women were killed in the last year in Scotland. In all but one of the cases, a man has either been charged, convicted or detained at the state hospital in connection with their deaths.'

'Top UK criminal psychologist @drjesstaylor Jess Taylor is calling on the government to impose strict age limits on the extreme material that is flooding online platforms, warning that unless action is taken, younger and younger boys will commit crimes against women and girls. She said: “Because we are living in an increasingly misogynistic society, the number of rapes increase. Domestic violence increases. Murders increase. Stalking increases. Non-fatal strangulation is on the increase. Unless the government acts to impose effective age limits on the violent material being shown online, perpetrators will get younger and younger too.”'

Marion Scott, Sunday Post chief reporter: "These deaths raise questions that go far beyond criminal justice. What are boys learning about women? What messages are young men absorbing online? What happens when toxic influencers build vast audiences by promoting domination, humiliation and contempt? What happens when pornography companies make fortunes selling a fantasy in which aggression, coercion and degradation are presented as normal parts of sexual relationships? Young people are growing up immersed in content that previous generations could never have imagined."

"This is why the conversation must move beyond sentencing, courtrooms and police investigations. It must reach classrooms, workplaces, sports clubs and homes. It must challenge the attitudes that allow abuse to flourish. It must teach boys that strength is not domination and that love is never control." by @killedwomennw

When a young person looks to us for guidance, they trust us to help them navigate the world safely.

Not just when they’re children.
Not just when it’s easy.
Always.

We can’t protect young people from every challenge they’ll face. But we can make sure they’re equipped with the knowledge and confidence to recognise healthy relationships, understand consent, and make informed choices. Because caring for young people isn’t just about keeping them safe today.
It’s about preparing them for tomorrow through prevention.

And every adult who cares about their future has a role to play in making that happen.

💙 Join us in calling for change. Because the responsibility to protect young people doesn’t end at the school gates, it starts with RSE to 18.

It's been a week since we launched the Unofficial Curriculum, and since then, our harrowing textbooks - detailing the dark realities of what a teenager's education can be, if there are no lessons to fill that void - have landed in the hands of many MPs.

We have one month to persuade the government to back the bill to #MakeRSEMandatory for all 16+.

Should we really be leaving it up to the likes of Tate, to determine our children's fate?

If you think the answer is no, tell your MP to #BackTheBill on the 4th of December.

Did you know that 16-19-year-olds experience the highest rates of domestic abuse of any age group, yet mandatory Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) currently ends at 16?

Last Monday, I was invited to Westminster to join @makeitmandatory and @killedwomennw to launch The Unofficial Curriculum, a mock textbook exposing the harmful content and messages young people are being taught by the internet, in place of high-quality formal RSE 📱💻

As a survivor of domestic abuse in a teenage relationship, I have experienced first-hand the consequences of not equipping young people with the skills and terminology to have healthy relationships and to identify abuse.

Ultimately, Relationships Education saves lives.

It was an honour to stand in Parliament Square alongside fellow survivors, campaigners, MPs and organisations 💜

On 4th December, MPs will debate the Relationships and Sex Education (Further Education) Bill. It would close a vital gap by extending compulsory RSE to 18, and would help protect future generations of young people 👏

Please show your support by contacting your local MP to back the Bill (takes 1 minute via @makeitmandatory ‘s link in bio!) ✍️

'The summit was arranged by EVAWG Wiltshire and also included judges, MPs, police officers and survivors at a day of talks at Marlborough College. Speakers spoke of the need for a joined-up approach between agencies involved in tackling the issue and the important role that education can play.

"Teenagers are now the biggest age group where domestic abuse is happening, so education has to be part of that, not just health and policing," Killed Women's Julie Devey, who has campaigned for law changes and awareness after her daughter, Poppy, was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, said. "They [education professionals] have to be the third leg in the stool that is propping up the policy and anything moving forward in domestic abuse."

"It's incredibly important for frontline services to come together and communicate," said Carole Gould, who also lost her daughter, Ellie, to domestic abuse. "We don't want anybody to go through the tragedies that we've both gone through, and prevention is what will stop that."

[Julie and Carole] are currently campaigning for relationship and sex education to be introduced in schools and colleges up to the age of 18 to teach young people to spot coercive, controlling or unhealthy relationships and how to exit them safely.'

KW co-founders Julie Devey and Carole Gould were interviewed by BBC Points West for their coverage of the EVAWG Summit 2026 at Marlborough College, which brought together leaders, survivors and changemakers with a shared purpose: ending violence against women and girls. The event was intended to start conversations and link up organisations, to improve what is happening in frontline services as well as in education and justice – locally, nationally and internationally. by @killedwomennw

On 23 October, the EVAWG Summit 2026 at Marlborough College brought together leaders, survivors and changemakers with a shared purpose: ending violence against women and girls. The presence at the event of Her Majesty The Queen as very special guest brings national attention to a conversation that must lead to lasting action.

Under the leadership of Lady Lansdowne, with summit chair @hettbn Hetti Barkworth-Nanton CBE and organiser Dr Monica Devendran, the day created space for powerful testimony, honest discussion and connections across organisations and communities.

The speakers included Jess Phillips MP, Domestic Abuse Commissioner for England and Wales Dame Nicole Jacobs, psychologist and Male Ally @maleallyship Lee Chambers, documentary-maker @zara_mcdermott, crime behaviour analyst @laurarichards999 @crimeanalyst Laura Richards, Louisa Rolfe from the National Police Chiefs’ Council and Chief Constable of Wiltshire Catherine Roper.

KW co-founders Carole Gould and Julie Devey were invited to attend. Carole has connected with Lady Lansdowne on several occasion and discussed VAWG issues in Wiltshire. It was a lively event with excellent speakers who had varying insights into VAWG issues. Laura Richards (Podcast: The Crime Analyst) and Lee Chambers (Male Allies UK) were amongst the speakers who we hadn’t seen before and who really captured the whole audience with their passion for driving change in the VAWG arena. Killed Women were honoured to be mentioned by two of the speakers during their presentations.

In her closing remarks, Hetti Barkworth-Nanton got attendees to agree to specifics that will help Wiltshire become a leading light for change, as it was very important that the conversation did not stop once we had left the building (‘The summit may be over. Our shared responsibility continue.’). The event was intended to start conversations and link up organisations, to improve what is happening in frontline services as well as in education and justice – in Wiltshire, nationally and internationally. by @killedwomennw

We NEED the school curriculum to teach our children about consent.

If this is what teens are searching, why is it ok there that is a total education vacuum in schools?

'Youth-led campaign group @makeitmandatory and charity Killed Women have joined forces to launch ‘The Unofficial Curriculum’, a powerful campaign highlighting the dangers of leaving 16 to 18-year-olds without compulsory Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) in England.

'With growing concerns surrounding coercive control, sexual violence, online misogyny, the manosphere and incel culture, the organisations are calling on MPs to support a proposed change to the law that would extend mandatory Relationships and Sex Education to young people in further education.

The campaign comes ahead of the second reading of the Relationships and Sex Education (Further Education Sector) Bill on 4 December 2026, introduced by Labour MP Alistair Strathern.'
