KW co-founders Julie Devey and Carole Gould were interviewed by BBC Points West for their coverage of the EVAWG Summit 2026 at Marlborough College, which brought together leaders, survivors and changemakers with a shared purpose: ending violence against women and girls. The event was intended to start conversations and link up organisations, to improve what is happening in frontline services as well as in education and justice – locally, nationally and internationally.

How Jess can sit and talk on this subject is beyond my comprehension. It’s a disgrace, Wiltshire leading on the conversation? Honestly, her majesty championing? They have not the first idea! Tut tut tut! Safety is a million miles away from anything and until they listen to US the victim survivors screaming (in their own way), the advocates. What harm is happening in Wiltshire? 500,000 children exposed to sexual abuse every year in the UK. It’s terrifying what is happening to women and children in their own homes - today!

Bravo Julie and Carole 👏 I can’t accept someone who was famously a mistress, who helped destroy the psyche and marriage of another woman, as any kind of ally to women though. She might be Charles’s Queen, but Camilla will never be my Queen!

What an incredible work from Julie and Carole on BBC Points West! Bringing these conversations into the national media and linking up education, frontline services, and justice is where real systemic change happens. Thank you both for your tireless, extraordinary leadership. Yesterday was beyond inspiring 💙🙏
