A few moments from @nycfringe.

The hugs after the show.

The lobby conversations.

The late-night drinks.

The team.

The artists showing up for one another.

The old friends.

The new friends.

Much gratitude.

💜

Until November :) by @killingjanetshow

Killing Janet has closed its NYC Fringe run.

What. A. Journey.

This project/process challenged me, changed me, and gave me more than I can fully put into words.

Over the course of this process, so much transformed onstage and off.

Even the hair. It’s not in a ponytail... it’s gone lol.

My deepest gratitude to our creative team, production team, collaborators, friends, and every audience member who came, voted to Kill/Save Janet, and helped bring this piece to life.

(And yes... the vote was split. Wild.)

Thank you to NYC Fringe / FRIGID New York for the platform, and special thanks to Black Women in Comedy Laff Festival for your support and sponsorship.

Thank you to my family and to those who supported and held me personally through this process.

Thank you, God.

Thank you for helping me build it, carry it, and share it

This chapter has closed, but the story damn well continues.

We still need to reach a verdict, for crying out loud. ❤️

Killing Janet Show is extremely grateful to be sponsored by @bwiclafffest 🖤

Last chance to see Killing Janet this Thursday!

Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest (bwiclafffest.com) is an annual multi-day festival produced by Joke Sistas™ celebrating and amplifying Black women in stand-up comedy.

Now in its 8th year, it’s a cornerstone event in NYC’s comedy landscape — February 24-28, 2027— bringing together emerging and established talent for live performances, industry networking, and community.

More than a festival, it’s a movement dedicated to creating space and visibility for Black women where their brilliance has always belonged.

— Joanna M. Briley, Festival Director

Capizzi, 547 9th Ave.
We know it, we love it, and now we want you to know and love it too! It's CAPIZZI! The perfect pre-show dinner spot if you find yourself in Midtown. It's across from the Port Authority, but you honestly forget as soon as you walk in. It also somehow always feels like Christmas in there.

Killing Janet, The Chain, 312 W 36th St.
Then head to the Chain to catch Killing Janet at the NYC Fringe! Part stand-up, part cultural exorcism, Killing Janet follows a Nigerian-American woman who decides —on live TV— to “kill” her missionary-given name and everything it represents. A razor-sharp solo comedy play about faith, assimilation, and the cost of compliance staged as a surreal game show where the audience helps decide the verdict.

Refinery Rooftop, 63 W 38th St.
End your night at the top of the Refinery Hotel, with amazing views of the Empire State Building!

(Killing Janet has 4 performances from 4/4-4/16, so grab your tickets now!) taken in Midtown Manhattan by @killingjanetshow
