Celebrating Black History with the Legendary @chesterhiggins12 is everything! I had an enlightening moment at lunch with Chester Higgins sharing images from my mother's Black History book of my family roots and it was so inspiring! It was also a blessing @jcsuniversity to capture live his journey to Africa, and present debate about African origins of human civilization, and the amazing images in his book provide evidence of who we are as a black culture in human history! I appreciate the hard purposeful work and sacrifices it took for @chesterhiggins12 to achieve the authorship of Sacred Nile! @sacrednile Black is Beautiful! #JCSU #LyceumSeries2024✊🏽💖🙏🏽 by @kimberlyedmonds

Honored and grateful to receive the Community Impact Award from the Charlotte Asian Heritage Association, Asian American Foundation for the Carolinas, and Universal Institute for Successful Aging of Carolinas.
Being recognized for building bridges between North Carolina, Africa, and the global community reflects a mission of service I strive to live every day.

Special thanks to my brother Nimish and sister Kim for bringing us together at the World Wellness & Unity Festival in the spirit of wellness, unity, and cultural appreciation.

Standing near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi after honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a powerful reminder that peace, service, and compassion are pathways to bringing people together.
"Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."

A special salute to the global entertainers whose gifts of dance, rhythm, and music remind us of the power of connection and the beauty of moving together on one frequency. 🌍✨🙏🏾

Truly Paul and l believe that when we serve others, build bridges across cultures, and create opportunities for future generations, we strengthen our communities and our shared humanity.

Together, through service, collaboration, and compassion, we can build a more connected, prosperous, and peaceful world. 🙏🏾

🌍 Behind the Scenes with A Heartfelt Thank You to Pearl Innovation District!

Thank you to Pearl Innovation District for hosting the NC-Africa Delegation Tour during the Global Africa Summit Charlotte and for being a valued sponsor of this historic initiative.

By showcasing the largest Healthcare Innovation District in the United States, Pearl demonstrated why Charlotte and North Carolina are emerging as global hubs for innovation, investment, and collaboration.

Together, the GABA Center, Black Wall Street Charlotte, local partners, and Africa Investment Network sent a clear message: North Carolina is open for business with Africa and the Caribbean and welcomes cross-border partnerships that drive economic growth and shared prosperity.

This milestone would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, partners, speakers, exhibitors, entrepreneurs, and participants. Your commitment helped transform a vision into action.

Simply, thank you.

This is only the beginning. The NC-Africa Ecosystem is ready to help set the global stage for the future.

🌍The month may be over, but the movement is just getting started.

NC Africa Diaspora Heritage Month was filled with powerful conversations, new partnerships, and opportunities to connect the global African diaspora through business, culture, and innovation.

From roundtables and networking events to the Global Africa Summit Charlotte, we witnessed the power of collaboration in action.

🙏🏾 Thank you to Africa Investment Network for saying yes to host the Global Africa Summit in Charlotte and partner with the Global Africa Business Accelerator (GABA) Center and Black Wall Street Charlotte Inc to help activate the NC Africa Diaspora Heritage Proclamation!

This opportunity emerged from a grassroots movement and ongoing community-driven effort that we were honored to help lead and advocate for through The African Think Tank. Together, we worked to create meaningful spaces that celebrate the contributions of the African diaspora while advancing economic development, entrepreneurship, cultural exchange, and global collaboration.

Together, we're building bridges, creating opportunities, and shaping a more prosperous future for the global diaspora.

🚀 This is only the beginning. The NC-Africa Ecosystem is ready to help set the global stage for the future.

We are continuing to celebrate North Carolina Africa Diaspora Heritage Month while reflecting on the success of the fourth serires of Global Africa Summit in Charlotte. As a proud strategic partner and local co-host, the GABA Center, alongside @africa_investment_network platform helped co-design a program that fostered meaningful connections, strengthened collaboration, and expanded opportunities across North Carolina, Africa and its Global Diaspora.

The inspiring performances and vibrant cross-border engagement throughout the summit reaffirmed that North Carolina is truly ready to embrace Africa and its Global Diaspora as partners in shared growth, innovation, and prosperity.

Through the summit, the GABA Center convened exclusive, closed-door roundtable discussions that brought together banks, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI), private equity firms, developers, philanthropists, legal, global supply chain professionals, and entrepreneurs. These conversations catalyzed strategic partnerships and advanced critical dialogue around investment, economic development, and sustainable impact.

As a civic leader, advocate, and multidisciplinary professional, I am reminded that when God gives you a vision, you must pray over it. Faith brings conviction, and while the journey may face geopolitical, public-private sector, headwinds, and other challenges, integrity means seeing the quality of vision through. Perseverance comes from remembering that all wisdom, knowledge, and instruction come from God.

When you are in a covenant with Christ Jesus, my heavenly father remain humble, steadfast, and aligned with His divine will. Do not let pride or personal agendas distract you from your purpose. As a system builder and global collaborator, I have learned to trust the process, walk by faith, and allow God's wisdom to guide every step. Learn from the journey, stay faithful, and let His purpose prevail. Let God arise!

Thank you, @shumaker for being a great partner! 🙌🏽🌍🙏🏽

My journey is real!

I have barely had the chance to fully share the impact of what took place last week at the Global Africa Summit Charlotte.

We hosted a closed-door roundtable with Global Africa Gateway Afreximbank, farmers from North Carolina, Arkansas, and Virginia, alongside key leaders committed to advancing economic development through North Carolina-U.S.-Africa Trade and Investment initiatives.

Who would have imagined that I would have the opportunity to meet the legendary Timothy Pigford at Governor Josh Stein's residence before his transition to glory on August 23, 2026?

I had to shift gears immediately, but I felt compelled to share how my PhD studies in Integrative Public Policy and Global Development aligned with this moment. One of my research assignments led me directly to the historic Pigford Cases. To make the experience even more meaningful, I also had the honor of meeting Congresswoman Eva Clayton, the first African American from North Carolina elected to Congress and former Chair of the House Agriculture Oversight Committee. I found favor with her, and she graciously agreed to be a part of GAS Charlotte.

This experience reminded me of an important truth: your assignment is Your Assignment, and nothing can stand in the way of what God has ordained for you. Every step, every connection, and every opportunity is ordered with purpose. All you got to do is let go and Let God!
