Kimberly Isibusiso Mduli 🇿🇦 (@kimberlymduli_) is a South African photographer and multidisciplinary artist based in Johannesburg.

Her family's photo albums date back to the 1950s. She spent hours as a child studying their faded, sepia-toned pages, and that early fascination still shapes her work today. Every photograph becomes an act of witnessing and preserving.

The practice of reaching, 2026
These works reveal what we fear losing.

Lately, I have been exploring flowers as symbols of beauty, impermanence, devotion, life, and death. The flower becomes an object of longing. The body becomes an act of reaching.

There is still so much I want to understand about this relationship.

Swipe through and stay with each frame🌷

What we worship, 2026
I am drawn to their(flowers) beauty, but also to their fragility. Their brief lifespan. The way they exist between life and death, bloom and decay. The meanings we assign to them, the rituals we build around them, and the things we choose to worship.

These images explore repetition, devotion, and desire. Bodies reaching toward something delicate, something temporary, something impossible to hold onto forever. by @kimberlymduli_
