Encouraged by Psalms 23 and the song “Good Plans” today. Even when it seems as if nothing is happening, God is working and He so much goodness in store for us. Thank you Jesus for taking such good care of us! by @kimoyaaudrey

@bunonmyhead shared a post yesterday that I can't stop thinking about. She talked about how we don't need to theologically fit in, but rather be faithful. I feel like church has been such a journey for me to figure out since leaving the UPCI. While I’m still figuring it out, that post was so encouraging to me. I've visited many different churches since leaving legalism and hyper-fundamentalism, and I think in my mind I was looking for the church where I agreed theologically in everything. The church that checked all the boxes but I was hit with reality of how hard that is to find. God has been teaching me that there's no “perfect” church that will check all the boxes and that's okay. And it's okay if you go to a church where there is tension and disagreement because that's holy ground for God to work in us and through us. I’m not sure if this post will speak to anyone but I wanted to share this as it has been on my heart. Let God work and move even if it's in unexpected places in your life. I truly believe that's where the true, formative work happens.

“Did the Bible drop out of the sky, like an asteroid of thin pages and red-lettered words? It didn’t and that’s great news because we couldn’t trust it it it did! The historicity of the Bible (its grounding in historical events, places, and people) gives credence to the story it tells.” – Phylicia Masonheimer, “Every Woman a Theologian”
