The website is live!!!!

I’ve been building this for a long time and today it’s real. Showplace Drive is open.

Named after my grandmother’s street. Built on everything she taught me about standard.

Come see what we made.

I upholstered my trampoline. Yes, I said trampoline! What started as a quirky idea turned out to be my favorite design decision of 2024. Now, this mini trampoline doesn’t just serve as exercise equipment, it anchors my office as a multifunctional ottoman.

The health benefits of rebounding on a mini trampoline are incredible:
✨Boosts lymphatic drainage and detoxification
✨ Improves balance and coordination
✨ Strengthens bones and muscles without the harsh impact on joints
✨ Enhances cardiovascular health

This project is a true reflection of my design philosophy which is let’s make it functional, beautiful, and just a little unexpected. If you love innovative ideas like this, make sure to follow, share, and save this post for inspiration!

Who knows? One day I might even get to produce some of my quirky but functional designs for you to bring home. Would you jump on a trampoline-ottoman hybrid? Let me know in the comments! by @kimwhitestyle

At this point, getting dressed up and going out is a recipe for disaster.
If you think this is bad, wait until you hear about the time I lost my shoe on the train tracks. Do y’all remember that? Yes, there’s footage of that too.
Apparently, this is a series now. SMH! Thanks for a beautiful night @stayforthecred by @kimwhitestyle

Showplace Drive is named after the street where my grandmother lived, and where so much of what I believe about making a home began.

I love that I get to take those ideas and create something that neither she nor I ever would have expected.

I’m learning a lot as I’m building, and honestly, that’s the fun and rewarding part.

Today is my grandmother’s birthday. I wish she were here to see what those early lessons turned into, I have a feeling she’d get a kick out of all of this.

Happy birthday, Grandma. Look what you started girlie!! by @kimwhitestyle

This Homecoming, bring your colors home.
Search Party: Campus Life is our collection of playable word search shower curtains inspired by the colors and legacy of the Divine Nine.

Each colorway is inspired by a specific organization, with hidden words drawn from its history, heritage, and culture. Choose your colors, search for the words, and give your guests something to discover instead of searching your medicine cabinet!!!

Know someone who would recognize their colors? Send this to them!! And if this is your organization, tag someone who needs to see it.

Sometimes a room doesn’t need a renovation. It just needs one new layer.

These walls had seen their fair share of paint and plaster. I added our Homage pattern in Charcoal, peel and stick for a no mess, no commitment refresh. The movement in the pattern hides every imperfection on this wall.

We have two more colorways waiting for you to pick your favorite.

Whether you’re a renter or homeowner, this is how you update a space without starting over.

I came to New York to do makeup.
That was the plan. Makeup taught me how to really see light, texture, tone, and balance. And how small changes can completely transform how someone feels.

What I didn’t realize was that I was using those same skills at home. I was creating spaces that felt cozy, safe, warm and balanced, not as a project, but simply as a way to care for myself.

Once I began sharing those spaces many of you (through your messages, conversations, and encouragement) helped me recognize that what felt natural to me was resonating with you too. Thank you….

Today, I’m a Brooklyn creative entrepreneur working across beauty, interiors, and product design all guided by the same instinct to create with intention. Ps. The trampoline ottoman is patent pending!

Whether you’re new or have been here for a while, the next chapter is unfolding!! Let’s go!!!!! by @kimwhitestyle

This weekend marked the first day of my annual hibernation. Outside was fun this summer but I’m currently in full fall prep mode. I’m changing out my closet because it’s officially sweater weather. I’m making each area of my home a little more cozy (my tiny bathroom is getting a dramatic upgrade). I pulled out an extra blanket because it got a bit chilly. I’m eating hearty and sleeping late (hopefully!!!! I better get some magnesium to make that happen). Stay tuned for a little hibernation Homemaxing. Who else went into hibernation this weekend? by @kimwhitestyle

Quick garden update: the rats are still killing the vibes!! Trigger warning - all the weeds were cleared out. A lot of the vines along the fence line were removed (my poor honeysuckle). It took a while to schedule an exterminator but I’ve received one treatment with another scheduled this week. Originally I wanted to have a fabulous garden party and while that’s still a desire, I’m focused on getting this situation under control before winter because seeing one of these possum sized rats in my living room would probably give me a heart attack. I’ve lived in this apartment now for six years and each year I’ve tried to plant something different and add additional elements so the garden matures and evolves. This year really feels like a setback. Stay tuned! Im not ready to give up. Honestly I can’t. by @kimwhitestyle

Rats have overtaken my garden, but it’s time for me to take it back!! Let’s set an actual date for the rat free reopening of this garden, and on that evening I plan to have a reclamation dinner party. I’m thinking mid to late August. Weigh in with a date, any rat removal tips and an appropriate name for this party! Let’s go!!!! by @kimwhitestyle
