Proud to share the newly published South African Consensus Recommendations on Dermocosmetics in Acne Vulgaris – with a focus on Skin of Colour in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology - https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/jocd.70696

This consensus brings together leading South African dermatologists to provide practical, evidence-based guidance on how dermocosmetics can be integrated into acne management — not only as adjuncts to medical therapy, but also for maintenance, barrier support, photoprotection (SPF 50+), and importantly, the prevention and treatment of acne-induced hyperpigmentation in skin of colour.

In a country as diverse as ours, structured, locally relevant guidance matters.

Grateful to my co-authors and colleagues who contributed to this important work.
