✨ SYNTHESIS: November 7 + 8, 2026 ✨ We’re excited to share the artists and creatives joining us for Synthesis, a two-day group exhibition presented by Kin+Flo at Play Nice in Long Beach. We imagined Synthesis as a space to bring together artists whose work reflects their stories, histories, cultures, experiences and perspectives. On November 7 + 8, we bring that vision to life, together.

✨ This past Sunday, we brought Kin+Flo back to Long Beach and hosted our third Creative Exchange ✨.

Our Creative Exchange is our favorite tradition because every gift comes with a story and a glimpse into someone’s creative process, inspiration, and journey.

And while the exchange always leaves us inspired, what inevitably unfolds is something even more meaningful: vulnerability, laughter, storytelling, authentic connection, and the reminder that creativity has the power to bring people together in ways few other things can.

Our Kin+Flo fam, Mark, said it best:

“Kin+Flo is about holding space, exchanging energy, and staying in flow together. We’re carrying this forward with more meetups, exchanges, and moments of connection in the year ahead.”

Lauren Halsey’s Sister Dreamer Sculpture Park stands as both an archive and an offering. Sister Dreamer is a monumental reflection of the beauty, strength, and cultural memory rooted in South Central Los Angeles. Every surface holds story. Every detail feels intentional. The space invites you to slow down, look closer, and return again, because there is always another layer revealing itself.

Kin+Flo was deeply grateful to gather in community with Los Angeles City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson @mhdcd8 who led a conversation about the vision behind Sister Dreamer and the significance of creating expansive public art spaces that honor the people and spirit of South Central LA. Lauren Halsey’s cousin, Kenneth, also shared meaningful insight into the creation of the sculptures—the care, symbolism, and communal intention woven throughout the entire space.

Grateful for everyone who joined us in creative community. Spaces like these remind us that art is not separate from the people. Thank you, Lauren Halsey, for creating this space and honoring these stories. Power to the creatives. Power to community. Power to South Central Los Angeles. by @kin_flo_

Kin+Flo Museum Day — 2.15.26

This past Sunday, we spent the day exploring two of Los Angeles’ most beautiful cultural spaces, the Getty Center and Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

We had the chance to experience powerful, thought-provoking works by Afro-Cuban painter Harmonia Rosales and multidisciplinary artist Tavares Strachan.

We’ll start the morning at The Getty Center, then head to Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in the afternoon.
