THE WEST UNIVERSITY MURDER

On October 15, 1928, Gainesville businessman Charles Harlow was found dead following a private gathering on West University Avenue. His death was ruled an accident.

It wasn't.

Nearly a century later, evidence missing from the original investigation has resurfaced, and five suspects are back under scrutiny. Join us for an interactive night of cocktails, clues, suspicious characters, questionable alibis, and one very cold case. by @kinbar352

NO LOOSE ENDS

Every good mystery has a few loose ends.

Inspired by one of Clue’s most infamous weapons, No Loose Ends takes its cues from the rope itself rather than simply its name.

Cachaça brings an earthy, grassy sugarcane character, layered with hay liqueur and toasted hemp-infused honey to evoke the dried, woven fibers of an old rope. Amontillado sherry adds a subtle nuttiness and dryness, while a restrained touch of lemon keeps everything lifted without hiding the hemp and hay underneath. The result is earthy, textured, slightly unusual, and deliberately a little unsettling.

Because in a murder mystery, the smallest detail can unravel everything.

The question isn't whether there are loose ends. It's who left them behind. by @kinbar352

Hard to believe it’s been a decade since Madrina‘s came to life as a pop-up at Crane Ramen… I feel like I’ve lived four different lives since then.

So it’s only fitting we come back together, as a pop-up, in the space we once shared.

As a bar-owner I’ll be the first to admit that I made plenty of mistakes, and there’s a lot that I would do differently in hindsight.

But we did one thing inarguably well. We hired some of the coolest people you’ll ever be lucky enough to meet, and, respectfully - I’d put ten toes down on that team against any staff.

I want to send a huge thank you to everyone who helped make the dream happen, there are way too many of you to tag, and I don’t have nearly enough photos of those days but know that you’re appreciated!

Amazingly cool of @kinbar352 to host us and a big thanks to our good friends at @amaromontenegro_us for helping to make this happen, we’ll be pouring The Juice all night long!

So here’s to ten fucking years! I can’t wait to work the stick with yall one more time 🍻
