POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

50 years of TAXI DRIVER.

Taxi Driver was actually born out of a total breaking point for both the writer and the director. Paul Schrader wrote the script while he was in the absolute worst phase of his life—he was broke, his marriage had ended, and he was living out of his car with a literal loaded gun in the glove box. He was so isolated and depressed that he basically wrote the movie as a way to keep from losing his mind. Then, when it came time to edit, the studio executives started pushing Martin Scorsese to cut the violence down to get a better rating. Scorsese was so protective of the film and so stressed that he reportedly had a complete meltdown, telling people he was going to go after the executive personally if they forced him to change his vision. It’s wild to think one of the greatest movies ever made only exists because these two guys were pushed to the absolute edge.

VadaChennai: Dhurandhar (Trailer Style) - Tamil Edit

Vada Chennai follows Anbu, a talented carrom player from North Chennai who gets unwillingly pulled into a brutal gang war. After being falsely accused of murder, he is sent to prison, where he discovers the deep political and criminal networks controlling the city. As he navigates betrayal and manipulation, Anbu realizes he has been used as a pawn in a much larger game. Once released, he begins to piece together the truth about those who orchestrated his downfall. The film explores themes of survival, revenge, and power, ultimately showing Anbu’s transformation as he steps into the dangerous world of crime, setting the stage for his rise in the underworld.

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
