Things are really starting to take shape at Kinross.

It’s so exciting to see just how much has happened on site over the past few months, as we work towards creating even more space to eat, drink and spend time with us.

There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes, but with summer getting closer, we can’t wait to see it all come together and share the finished spaces with you.

And don't worry, our Cellar Door is open, the Bistro is serving lunch and your favourite wines are still flowing. We’ve planned everything to keep disruption to a minimum, so you can settle in, relax and enjoy your visit just as you always would. by @kinross_nz

A moment for the mastery of viticulture (the cultivation and harvesting of grapes)...

Last year, a section of High Garden's much-loved Pinot Noir vines were top-grafted to Chardonnay: a slow, careful process that reshapes the existing vine to grow a completely new variety while keeping the deep root systems that make this Gibbston site so special.

These vines will carry their first fruit in 2027 and we can't wait to pour High Garden's very first Chardonnay, Vintage 2027, when it's released in 2028.

Thomas and Wild Irishman’s Alan Brady caught up at the Wild Irishman home block in Alexandra yesterday.

The vines are freshly pruned, the sun was out and temperatures reached 18 degrees. Dare we say spring is on its way?

With the vineyard beginning to wake up, another growing season is just around the corner. We’re looking forward to following it from these first signs of spring right through to the next Wild Irishman vintage. by @kinross_nz
