I got baptized!!!

God has been putting this on my heart for MONTHS and I finally stepped into full obedience in Him. Knowing Christ for the past year has turned the direction of my life in a complete 180. He gave me new desires, new perspectives, and taught me what love actually is vs. what our culture says it is. And JESUS IS LOVE!!! Jesus knew everything I would do that would go against him, and he still chose to die in my place on the cross, canceling my debt FOREVER, and he did the same for YOU. What greater act of love is there?

Before finding Christ, I was trying to fill myself with things that pleased my flesh, but each time was left unsatisfied, and that’s because I was lacking something only the Lord can provide. And after meeting my boyfriend and being encountered by the Lord, God slowly started transforming me to live for Him instead! During that process, God gifted me a community through @delight_ohiouniversity and @oasisathens here at OU, which both helped me grow closer to the Lord. The most valuable thing I’ve learned during this process is that I just had to come to Jesus how I was, instead of trying to better myself before coming to Him. God did all of the work for me, and He can do the same for you!

I’ve learned that there’s nothing to LOSE living for Christ, but everything to GAIN. It took me 19 years to notice that God has been right beside me my entire life, and now that I see Him, I can fully rest in His sovereignty over my life instead of relying on my own strength. If you’re curious about Jesus or unsure about Him, you can ask God RIGHT NOW to reveal Himself to you and save you. How crazy is it that we have 24/7 access to the Creator of the universe? Who wants a relationship with YOU and knows you more than you know yourself!

why I haven’t replied…

This past spring break I was blessed with the opportunity to go to Costa Rica through the Global Consulting Program (GCP)!!! I learned so much about Costa Rica’s culture and gained experience in consulting with our client @terra_travel_costa_rica ! I’m so incredibly grateful for this trip and will never forget it, thank you @ohiouniversitycibed 💚
