To wrap up the year, we did our most ambitious dinner with 15 guests in the Hollywood hills at a place previously owned by Jay Chou. It was a night of of sparkle and shine and also featuring our new menu for next year. I wanted to thank the hosts @d_orbi1, @tudy2d @anitatapang and @janice.niniverse (@cavimorii ) for the amazing night filled with caviar and @carmelaicecream amazing ice cream. Once, in the sky, there were ten suns.

For our Moon Festival dinner with @kiosupperclub, we turned the legend of Chang’e into a six-course menu.

Every course was a chapter paired with its own tea. Some of our favorites were:
🥕 A Rabbit in the Sky: carrot tartare + chrysanthemum
🥃 Elixir: clear chicken consommé
🦀 Hero’s Reward: chili crab + sparkling lemon tea

Shout out to the incredible @zeroacrefarms for their delicious Fera fruit oil we used to confit our carrots and fry our tostadas.

There’s something beautiful about the chaos of a Malaysian morning market.

Everyone comes early, picking out the freshest vegetables, seafood and fruit, grabbing breakfast along the way, and somehow navigating aisles where there’s always just a little too much going on.

The sounds, the colors, the smell of fresh produce, herbs, spices and food being prepared nearby. It’s sensory overload in the best possible way.

Walking through the market again reminded me how much I missed this. These are the ingredients and flavors I grew up around, and being surrounded by them again just felt like home. 🇲🇾 #malaysia #market by @kiosupperclub

Clearing my fridge and throwing things together and I was like why not Lou sang and Italian food. Walla this shit ain’t half bad. Poached the beets in sugar and red wine vinegar and used the reduction in a traditional Lou sang sauce. It works!!!!! Parmesan for extra funk #italian #malaysianfood by @kiosupperclub
