We’re throwing it back to the year Kirby Plastic Surgery began!

A lot has changed in 15 years—including all of us. 😂 So in honor of our 15th anniversary, we asked our team to dig through the archives and find a few photos from 2011.

While the hairstyles, outfits, technology, and even some of our team members have changed over the years, one thing hasn’t: how grateful we are for our patients who have been with us along the way.

For Dr. Kirby, humanitarian surgical missions to Mexico, China, and Ecuador have been among the most meaningful.

Working alongside fellow volunteers, she helped provide reconstructive surgery for children with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other craniofacial conditions—care that can change a child’s life in a matter of hours.

This month marks 15 years of Kirby Plastic Surgery, and more than anything, we’re feeling grateful.

Grateful for every patient who has trusted Dr. Kirby and our team with something so personal. For every story shared with us, every milestone celebrated, every referral to a friend, and every person who has allowed us to be a small part of their journey.

Over 15 years, so much has changed. Technology has advanced. Techniques have evolved. We’ve changed offices. Dr. Kirby’s experience, skill, and artistry have continued to grow with every year and every patient. But the heart behind what we do has remained the same: taking the time to listen, caring deeply for our patients, and helping each person feel confident in the choices they make for themselves.

Every procedure is backed by years of training, experience, and an unwavering commitment to patient care.

Dr. Emily Kirby is a board-certified plastic surgeon, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. After graduating cum laude from Vanderbilt, she earned her medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine, then completed a highly competitive six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Kentucky, followed by a fellowship in pediatric and craniofacial surgery at the Craniofacial Foundation of Utah.

Throughout her career, Dr. Kirby has been recognized not only for her surgical expertise, but also for her leadership. She made history as the first female #ChiefOfPlasticSurgery at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, the largest hospital in Fort Worth.

Her approach combines advanced surgical training with meticulous attention to detail, personalized treatment planning, and a commitment to helping each patient achieve natural-looking results that reflect their goals.
