There is a saying in running: marathon medals are never given, always earned. No truer words to describe the Sydney Marathon…a challenging day both course wise and personally (running sick, 0/10 do not recommend).
But we were rewarded with some truly epic views and the most iconic finish line we’ve ever crossed! Marathon #43 and World Major #6 for me (4:18:50) and marathon #47 and World Major #7 for @loutrevi (4:54:06). Sydney, you have our hearts❤️❤️ taken in Sydney Harbour by @kirsteninct

After 18 years in CT, I finally made it to Newport, RI! Wonderful weekend with our travel BFFs @jenndtk and Garth…Gilded Age mansion tours with Trolley Rob, the gorgeous Cliff Walk, wedding crashing at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, yacht shopping, and of course, stuffing our faces with seafood and ice cream! 🦞🍦 taken in Newport, Rhode Island by @kirsteninct

UFF DA! That one left a mark…steamiest marathon in a long time.🥵 Fargo was tough, but we were tougher…so proud of this gritty crew, coming back from illness and injury to thrive today. Quitting was not an option! Marathon 42 and state 33 in 4:13:25✅🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️ taken in Fargo, North Dakota by @kirsteninct

Though I’m sure it’s not what Florence had in mind, this song has always been my love song for the marathon. I didn’t get the time I hoped for today, but I’m proud of 1st in my AG and a BQ with 3:48:12. Nothing is ever promised in 26.2, but regardless of outcome, we will always celebrate the finish🍻💚 Congrats to @loutrevi on placing 1st in his AG and @radke30 for a huge PR three weeks after VA Beach marathon!🙌🏽🙌🏽 taken in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware by @kirsteninct

Half marathon #68 today was chilly and hilly with @shorelinesharks at Savin Rock! Congrats to all my Milford Road Runners out there🎉💚 So fun to meet and share the last few miles with Rachel @crazyrunningmom! We crossed my finish line together and she went on to crush the doubly hilly full and got her 45th state🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️🙌🏽 Two weeks to @coastaldelawarerunningfestival! by @kirsteninct

Goals today were 1) 4 hour finish 2) have fun 3) check off another state. One out of three ain’t bad?? 🫠 Finished in 4:05:56 with big fat positive splits for positive people😎 But can’t be unhappy racing with such an amazing crew as this and AG places for @loutrevi @lincordv @lizhallfun @adrianhall1974 and me🏅State 32 in the books! taken in Las Cruces, New Mexico by @kirsteninct
