The International Week is taking place for the first time this summer semester at KISD!

From May 22nd to 26th five different short-term projects will take place dealing with the overall topic of DIGGING. Digging into our cultures, into soil, a brick into a wall.

There are multiple options for digging in the field of design.
We will try to explore some of them, change perspective of design(ers), use the power of observation, and work with our hands.

Part of the International Week are KISDtalks and guided tours as well smaller activities in the workshops at KISD.
The KISDtalks and the Friday presentations are open to the public.

ALL ABROAD!

Student participation and co-design of their own study environment is anchored in our study program at KISD.

In 2022, some of these activities within the international working group (International AG) involved the independent conception, design and realization of the ABROAD Magazine, a publication telling international stories of KISD and providing insights into the various international opportunities available during their studies at KISD.

The 2nd issue of the ABROAD Magazine has now been released and can be read at

Today, 11.11. as the clock strikes 11.11, all the funky creatures conquer the streets of Cologne. It is finally time for the annual Kölner Karneval!

Today, eat your Berliner, drink your Kölsch, dress up in a costume, look after one another, and be ready to rave the day away. Let the celebrations begin!🍸🪩 taken in Cologne, Germany by @kisdinternational
