Once in a rare while I’m in the mood for this album…Im not gonna discuss my hot takes of DSOTM on here tonight. Some of those thoughts might get me canceled on here. Maybe another time. I purchased a 4pk of @modistbrewing Dreamyard after work and I noticed a clever photo opportunity. I guess this post is more about promoting a tasty beer and a free advertisement for Modist. Still great music..and great beer. A perfect pairing. 🌈 🍻 by @kit_kat_jams

I completed the @soundgarden discography on vinyl today. Adding Badmoterfinger, Down on the Upside, Screaming Life/Fopp, and King Animal…and I have not listened to King Animal yet! It all started with a FB Marketplace find of the Louder Than Love CD last summer. The journey has been fun! by @kit_kat_jams

Non music-related. I’m in Iowa this weekend visiting my sister and her family. This is the last time I’ll be visiting them in Davenport before they make their move to North Carolina at the end of the month. Enjoying this mediocre Buffalo Trace cigar on this cool 46 degree autumn night on the deck. 🦬 taken in Davenport, Iowa by @kit_kat_jams

Well I’m happy to say I think I’m squared up with Alice In Chains. Always a disappointing feeling when you receive something damaged or defective. Especially when it’s late. My official store copy had significant warping and sleeve ring wear. They quickly shipped out a replacement for me. That showed up yesterday and it’s great! The Solar Flare is much prettier in person. I think I still like the purple issue still has the edge 😆. 🤜🏼🤛🏼 by @kit_kat_jams

I hate how inconsistent quality has become across a general spectrum when it comes to new vinyl. Funkadelic’s Maggot Brain is exceptional in all the areas! This issue sets a standard on what new records should be with the kind of money being asked out there.

I saw many different varients of this album…but the rainbow splatter from @corkyscoffee and it was an instant buy. Well done with this one! ☕️ 🌈 🕺 by @kit_kat_jams

Fun splatter for a Funkadelic Friday! Great to finally have this added to my library…and thank you to @squaresvinyl for bringing this issue to my attention I’d love to see more reissues (in general) get a cassette option like this! 🌈 by @kit_kat_jams

I did my best with what I had available here. Thanks for the idea @now.playing___ not necessarily college (I opted out of college), but these are my five albums/groups that helped define my early days of discovering music. I didn’t grow up with a lot of music in my home. I was pretty much left to what my friends were into. Out of these, Busted Stuff had the largest impact on me and where it’s taken me over the last 25 years.

Tagging five others, Go….

CDs hit differently when they’re in a portable unit. Maybe it’s because this is how I started listening to music in my teens…I found this early/mid 90s Discman on the marketplace today. I’ve been looking around for one for a couple months. This one (D-235CK) is almost mint, barely used. Even came with the original headphones with the cord still wrapped in its plastic binding. Complete with manual, car kit and an untouched Case Logic case. Definitely not a top model, but that’s not the point.

Had to put Enema of the State in this thing! I just laid on the couch and hit play. Almost Instantly, I was transported back to 99/00 riding the bus to and from middle school. I can’t think of one kid that didn’t have this album at the time. Iconic. by @kit_kat_jams
