A few weeks ago, I showed up in Hood River with no plans. I just wanted to spend some time by the water and take a few kiteboarding lessons.

I walked into Kite the Gorge, met Carlos and the team. I ended up spending time around the shop, photographing lessons, and taking lessons of my own.

In just a few days, it was easy to see why Kite the Gorge is such a special place. Beyond the world-class conditions in Hood River, it’s the community they’ve built over the last 20 years that stands out.

Super grateful for the opportunity to share a small part of their story and excited to be back soon!
