POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

⚒️💎COVER REVEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!💎⚒️

Totally not chill at all about teaming up once again with @lgbtqreads to reveal the cover for my sophomore YA and queer treasure hunt romance, BURIED FEELINGS, out through @delacorteromance on July 7, 2026!!!!!!

Swipe for book summary! The preorder is available NOW for only $12.99!!!! Another paperback original!

This exceptional cover was designed by Carol Ly, and is illustrated by @sarahmaxwellart. (I am so, so freaking lucky to get a SECOND Sarah Maxwell cover.) Some truly cool Easter Eggs in the cover include:

🧢 Cam’s slightly curly hair, his slender wrists, and that INSANELY cute glint in his eye.
🔦 Ivy’s Kim Possible vibes, her “We Can Do It” arm grab, her subtle looking back at Cam… 👀
🔐 The key in Ivy’s hand that will ultimately mean EVERYTHING
🌉 The iconic Golden Gate Bridge, which not only sets the scene for this treasure hunt adventure, but also hints at some pretty big revelations that occur later in the book…
🛤️ So much gorgeous vintage adventure novel vibes in this cover!! The colors!! The grainy texture!!! (Can you imagine how good she’ll look like after she’s all creased up in someone’s backpack?!?)
❌ There are curiously TWO x marks the spots. Why, I wonder?!?! Hmmmm…
🏳️‍🌈 Cam is holding a rainbow armchair treasure hunt book appropriately titled Gay Treasures
🩷💛💙 A little subtle color palette foreshadowing…

I’m dropping a newsletter to subscribers this afternoon detailing the last installment of my own personal treasure hunting adventure, as well as details on the actual REAL LIVE treasure hunt I’m putting on in celebration of BURIED FEELINGS’ release next year. The grand prize is $1,000 and there is no purchase necessary to enter. Link in bio. 🔗 by @kitrosewater

This exceptional cover was designed by Angela Carlino and Liz Dresner, and is illustrated by none other than the brilliant @sarahmaxwellart. Sarah is a certified GENIUS of an artist, and actually went to various art museums to study depictions of medieval battles as inspiration for the backdrop of the cover! Other amazing details here include:

💗The field hockey stick heart!!!
👀The look between Rosa and Evelyn
😏Rosa’s half smile
🫦Evelyn’s mouth literally hanging open
😍The words “in love” hovering between them
☠️The words “field hockey” hovering over their teammates’ crossed sticks
💚💜The rival team uniforms
💜💙🩷The queer coded color palette
💚🩵💙💜🩷 The rival colors blending through the queer color palette MY HEARTTTT!!!! 🫠😭😍

I’m dropping a newsletter to subscribers this week detailing some more Easter Eggs I can’t share here, but let’s just say that once you read the book, the cover has twice as much meaning in every detail. And speaking of reading the book, the preorder is available now for only $12.99!!!! That’s right, this is a certified beach read paperback original!

Please please please consider showing this book your support so my publisher will let me continue to write romance stories with slow burns, rivals-to-lovers, intense sapphic yearning, and sex positivity. 🙏 I love you all and am so honored to join this gorgeous community of readers and creators. 💗 by @kitrosewater

ARC Tour Stop of Buried Feelings by Kit Rosewater 🔑👑❤️🌉

A treasure hunt through history, but make it queer? Sign me up!

I loved this book so much! If you’re looking for a sweet YA coming of age book full of queer history, love of San Francisco, treasure hunting, and a multitude of queer identities, this is the book for you!

I’m so happy to queer youth of today can have a campy adventure book filled with queer joy & history

A few favorite short quotes:
“History shouldn’t be oversimplified to a street sign or a single line in a book.”

“I’m basically the Benjamin Gates of gaying!”

Rep:
- sapphic main character
- trans masc side character/LI
- queer m/f love

I had a lot of fun completing some of the side prompts in the little accompanying tour book! Featured here is a public library/creepy monument (it has been closed longer than I’ve had access to it due to mold so it is fenced up 😔), my local bookstore @greenfeatherbooks where I talked about BF at the book club, took it on a mini date with my partner to the park where he graciously took all of these pictures of me, and more!

My partner didn’t want to be in any pictures, but Pumpkin did give his sniff of approval 🧡

So sorry I’m so late to posting this, had a whirlwind of the last few months with chronic illness being a jerk with tons of migraine, fatigue, and allergic reactions! Hope to get more consistent in posting soon ❤️
