Third Blood 🩸🩸🩸
There are so many different ways to do this climb, did this today with the beta that made the most sense for my body. Maybe one day I'll come back and repeat it with some harder beta

Evac but use the crimps and skip the dyno the way nature intended 🌿

I touched the crimps once immediately before the bushfires so I had to wait over a year for the bleachers to reopen and it was probably the right choice because my fingers felt way stronger.
Special thanks to the boys @len_dalit and @baseplus.climbing, couldn't have done it without them

Did a potential FA today at The Pharos in Freycinet. The only information we could find on it was that a rockfall in 2022 had exposed a cave which had potential for a new route. So here's Meat Grinder V7/8, after I was made to repeat it because I didn't sit start the first time lol (see second vid).

But the real highlight today was seeing dozens of humpback whales on their migratory route south. I saw more whales in a single day than I have in my entire life so that was better than any climbing 🐳🌞
@elliotmoss got some cool close-ups of the whales in the third vid 🐋

The Worm Hole 7B+/V8 - managed to squeeze out one last climb on the last day before leaving. Absolute banger line and beautiful weather made it way harder to leave Rocklands 🥲

The roof is on fire 6C+/V5 🔥 - I wish I spent more time this trip doing more stunning moderates like this one instead of sinking time into projects. Just means there are more reasons to come again!

Shark attack 7b/V8 - fun little line to put away on an intermittently wet day. Climb probably feels easier if you're small.

Incus 7A+/V7 - hidden line at sassies that has zero stars but climbs pretty well. Line felt a bit contrived as it required you to climb around the left face to be a 7A+ but it didn't feel like a 7A+ to me....anyway grades are hard, rocks are fun 🙃

Not Shock and Tickle 7B/V8 - I love a crimp line where I can full crimp the sloper 😆

Sevilla’s heart 7A+/V7 - after two days of depression naps due to terrible weather we got out early this morning for a quick one to warm up the limbs. Glad to put this away quickly before the rain came again

Teapot 7A/V6 - might come back for the other mega lines on this spectacular rock later but this was a satisfying one to walk away with for a volume day
