We’re so excited for @catconworldwide this weekend! Share in our hype by learning a little bit about all of the Kitties of the Cupcake Crew! We have 11 feline friends between the four of us!

Tell us about your kitties in the comments!

#catcon #cats_of_instagram #cats #catlover #catlife

Ash:
For one whole year she was the only cat in our home, then her brother moved in and she set a vendetta against all other furry creatures. She’s our oldest baby at 14. She is currently getting to live out her golden years as an only cat once again as she has been moved into our studio space away from all the other pets. She enjoys yelling at Sarah and Aub to turn her space heater on, walking on their keyboards, and screaming for attention. Much void, super soft, all attitude.

Human: Emily @kittywithacupcake

Bus:
He doesn’t know how to cat but we love him all the more for it. Bus (rhymes with “goose”) once had a full name inspired by the bigot wizard lady’s books because he has a grey beard on his chin, it quickly became clear that didn’t fit him and we have called him Bus for all of his life. He enjoys attempting to be a neck pillow, poking Mr. Cupcake in the back of the neck for attention, and a good hiding spot. Our most skittish kitty, if you get to see him you are part of his inner circle of trust. Nicknames: Bustafer, Eternal Kitten, Weird Cat, Bus Goose

Human: Emily @kittywithacupcake

Porch Cat:
Yes, he is from the porch. Mr. Cupcake was determined to not get attached when he was showing up in our yard so we didn’t name him, jokes on Mr. Cupcake now we have a cat named Porch Cat. He is the most cuddly cat who loves to be held like a baby. I actually have a cat sling for him to be in so I can use my hands and get work done. When he first came inside he was very rambunctious but he has really chilled out and is a perfect angel baby now. People who say they don’t like cats tend to love Porch Cat. Porch Cat and our dog Buttercup are besties and they regularly play together, it’s extremely cute. Nicknames: Porchy, PC, Porch, Porch Demon, Porch Menace, Pochi

Human: Emily @kittywithacupcake

Calcifer:
Our most recent acquisition from the outside. He showed up arou by @kittywithacupcake

I have something very special to show you! @stitchedbyjessalu and @kittywithacupcake teamed to create these handmade bags! The front of the bags has cute kitties and the back of the bag has their butts! The zipper is a beautiful purple with Jessa’s signature Bee charm and the inside fabric is pastel rainbow yarn balls! All of the fabric of these bags features illustrations by Emily and they were handmade by Jessa! These are an exclusive for the Kitty With A Cupcake @catconworldwide booth 422, they even have a lovely little tag to commemorate the occasion. The bags have two handy lobes on the end for a hand strap or it’s the perfect place to clip a Clicky Cat or other keychain doodad!

Stitched By JessaLu’s bags are my favorite project bags for knitting but they are all around great hobby bags! These cat bags fit a size A5 notebook comfortably as well as a bunch of extra stationery accessories like washi tape, stamps, pens, and scissors. We will have mini cat notebooks that match the fabric of the bags as well as cat stamps and washi tape if you want to build your own cat Stationery kit!

Due to the handmade nature of these bags the print placement on each one is a little different, so come pick out your perfect bag in person at CatCon booth 422! If we have extras they will go up online after the show. And if we run out right away we will put up a pre-order for them. Give us a MEOW! in the comments if you are hoping to snag one of these bags!

Kentucky has cool things and I”m going to yell at you on the internet about them! For today’s episode we’re talking about @write_on_lou Louisville’s first independent stationery store! They celebrated their grand opening this Saturday and we were so excited to check it out! They have so many great pens to choose from and even have a station where you can test them out! There is also a fountain pen case and so many different fountain pen inks to choose from. There is a large selection of blank journals as well as printed planner systems. I am in love with all of the beautiful Japanese paper products. There are tons of stickers both sheets and books.

I’m super excited to be able to stock up on journal supplies like tape rollers at a local shop! We stopped by in the last hour of the grand opening and Louisville really showed up and wiped them out, Owner Matea will be working to restock shelves while the shop is closed Monday and Tuesday. We even dropped off a big box of @kittywithacupcake stationery stuff like notebooks, push button stamps, and some charms! Since I know y’all will ask, the shop is accessible with a ramp along the side that leads up to the front door! It’s right down the street from some of our favorite places like @thebarretbabes @gradygoodsartpunkgallery and @ultrapopshop on Barret Avenue so go check it out! Here is my little haul from the grand opening! I absolutely love this risograph printed paper, and look at this teeny tiny mini notebook!

Tell me about your favorite local shop in the comments!

Some of the opossums are here! We received the opossum stud earrings, which are looking so cute. We also got the opossum socks! I’m extra excited about the socks because they are the first manufactured sock I’ve ever designed (I have designed a few sock knitting patterns!) I think these turned out great! The different opossums on them are all so cute but the one playing dead might be my favorite.

These are both available for preorder on our website! We are waiting to ship all opossum items together so even if you just get earrings or socks they won’t be shipping until December! Let us know in the comments which opossum items you’re most excited for!

Shop the final days of our B-Grade Sale! We only run these deals a few times a year and B-Grades likely won’t be back until 2027, so get them now while you can!

B-Grades are slightly less than perfect pins that are still totally functional but aren’t up to our normal standard of quality. They might have scratches, missing enamel, incorrect colors or extra metal bits. Most of the time we’re so picky that our customers say they can’t even tell why a pin was marked as a B-Grade!
